This well made compact groove joint pliers deserves a place in any tool box or car trunk. The serrated jaws have three gripping zones, the middle one is designed for gripping round objects such as pipes ranging from just over one inch diameter down to 1/8 inch.
The inner gripping zones are parallel for gripping nuts or bolt heads of 1 1/8, 1, 5/8, 3/8 and 1/8 of an inch across flats, but do a reasonable job of gripping sizes in-between. The outer gripping zones work best for 1 1/2 down to 1/4 inch.
The eight inch size of these pliers does limit the torque that can be applied, but also means that this versatile tool is small enough can be stored in a small space.

8” Anvil Grove and Joint Pliers
I just received these Grove and Joint Pliers by Anvil, and they are very well made,heavy duty material constructed of drop forged carbon steel. It has a slightly curved handle grip, which aids in comfort, and also has a built-in wire cutter.
These pliers are great for plumbing and general household projects. You can adjust them to 3 different settings to accommodate your project. The handle itself is 5 inches long, the depth is 0.8 inches and total height is 8 inches.
The jaw capacity is 1.06 inches and jaw tip size is 0.37 inches. This is a great pair of pliers, and seem to be very well made. I have used these pliers and the wire cutter that's built-in, and there is no doubt they will hold up very well on tough projects. The wire cutter works like cutting butter. Great product. I highly recommend this product, Anvil 8” Grove and Joint Pliers. These pliers are well designed especially with the comfort curvature of the handle.

Made in China and quality proves it.
Difficult to change position of wrench handles. Attempted to use WD40 to loosen them, no joy.
Handles bolted together by wing nut that is not going to last.
The type of "metal" the wrench is constructed will rust if any moisture / wetness is left to them.
Will get a job done.
Recommended for one that is low on funds and or until they can do better.

God for the price, but not able to handle larger...
God for the price, but not able to handle larger bolts without the locking mechanism failing. Better used for holding things in place, you’ll need a more expensive pair for really yanking bolts.
