My experience is with poly pipe, but think it should apply to your non-kinks as well. I simply slide a loose clamp over the pipe, screw the blue twisters all the way in, then place THE CLAMP DIRECTLY OVER THE TWO INNER-MOST BARBS to assure a solid, liquid-tight seal. Yes, it's a tight fit, but it has to be for the barbs to hold the pipe adequately. These blue twisters are also tough enough that I can also pound them into position using my 3-pound plastic hammer IF I can the beveled tip of the fitting just barely into the pipe,
One end of the coupling can be inserted into the pipe by rotating clockwise. To get the other insert barb into the pipe, you may need to heat the pipe up. Heating the pipe up with a heat gun or something similar will make it much easier to push the pipe over the fitting. For further questions, please give us a call at 888-229-2874.
