This innovative and patented Twist-In polypropylene 1 in. male pipe thread adapter can be used to connect polyethylene pipe to a female threaded connection originating from a valve or alternative type of male threaded fitting. There is no restriction on the number of connections that can be made to achieve desire pipe length. For an additionally secure connection is recommended that stainless steel clamps are used to secure fitting to pipe.

Q:Can this be used in an inground pool?

A: I used it in an above ground pool without any problems.. Connecting to black pvc pipe, heat the black pipe up a little with a torch and it slides on nicely. Clamp it and it's been good for 2 seasons now. Also use it for connecting solar panels which get taken apart every year, 2 seasons on those as well..

A: Apollo Blue Twisters are for use with IPS-sized polyethylene pipe (PE). Apollo PE pipe should not be used in a potable water applications. For potable water, use Apollo PEX pipe (A or B).

A: The fitting is one solid piece. Tighten into fitting first, then slide hose/clamp on the ribbed end.

Won’t fit the 1-1/2 Polly pipe, use 1-1/2 pvc schedule 40 pipe as your fittings the 1-1/2 Polly pipe fits inside of the pvc 1-1/2 pipe, from there use pvc fittings

For above ground use only

For anything that "matters" use the Gray Dura. I've used these in a pinch above ground to connect to FPT Rainbird 5000's for a poly riser. I'm 6 weeks in and have not had any leaking problems. Worked at 60psi, but I would not trust these long term. Used them because the Dura were out of stock at the irrigation supply store.
