This innovative and patented Twist-In polypropylene 3/4 in. male pipe thread adapter elbow can be used to connect polyethylene pipe to a male threaded connection originating from a valve or alternative type of male threaded fitting. There is no restriction on the number of connections that can be made to achieve desire pipe length. For an additionally secure connection is recommended that stainless steel clamps are used to secure fitting to pipe.

Is the larger threaded end compatible with a standard garden hose?

AnswerAaron, No sir. The male threaded end of this fitting is not compatible with male garden hose thread. It is designed for use with nominal pipe thread with is a finer thread than garden hoses.
Are the inserts for IPS or CTS Poly?

Excellent product
Blue Twister products are excellent, very good quality. They fit into pipe perfect and threads are also very precise. I purchased an assortment of these for my sprinkler product and I could tell that fitments are snug tight that will last a long time. I love Home Depot for carrying such good quality products.

Worked fine except the plastic material does not tighten smoothly in a PVC fitting. It chatters ...
Worked fine except the plastic material does not tighten smoothly in a PVC fitting. It chatters as it is tightened. The fitting works fine in sprinkler body. The barbs with a helix make it some what easier to install the plastic tubing.
