The ApolloPEX 36-Port PEX Manifold with 1/2 in. Brass Ball Valves is simple to install. Think of it as the circuit breaker for your water delivery system. The installation of an ApolloPEX manifold provides a single point flow control over each outlet. ApolloPEX manifolds are designed for implementation within home-run type PEX piping systems eliminating the need for additional fittings or connections between the water source and the point of use fixture. ApolloPEX manifolds are a key component of the most economical potable water piping systems. Also capable of integration into hydronic heating systems, ApolloPEX manifolds can be secured into place using copper crimps, stainless steel pinch clamps or stainless steel crimp sleeves (all sold separately). The ApolloPEX system is a comprehensive piping system comprised of brass fittings, poly alloy fittings, manifolds, valves, fasteners, tools and tubing designed for implementation in water delivery systems, simple or complex.
Single point of command and control of your residential/commercial potable water delivery or hydronic piping system
Allows for longer, continuous runs of PEX pipe with fewer connections
Most economical piping system available
Can secured in place using copper crimps, stainless steel pinch clamps or stainless steel crimp sleeves
Q:Are these expansion fittings (i.e. Can you connect to the brass ball valves with a PEX-A Expansion Sleeve/Ring)? Or do you have to use a crimp/clamp with these?

Answer This Question
A:Â With this manifold, you would need to use a crimp or pinch clamp to secure the PEX pipe. However, we do have a 36-port PEX-A manifold available through homedepot.com: 36-Port PEX-A Manifold with 1/2 in. Brass Ball Valves, Model #EPXMANI36, Internet #315335728, Store SKU #1005954307.

Q:Are you able to make hot ports into cold ports since there is a greater need for more cold in a residence?

Answer This Question
A:Â The Apollo 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, & 36 port manifolds all have an equal number of hot and cold ports on either side of the manifold. Since these manifolds feature a dual silo, one for incoming hot and one for incoming cold water, you cannot turn one of your hot ports into a cold one, and vice versa. However, if you unscrew the cap at the bottom of the cold port, you can connect a 3/4 in PEX Female Adapter, followed by a small piece of PEX pipe, and then a copper or poly alloy "branch and tee" manifold. Those part numbers are APXCM4PTO, APXCM6PTO, PXPA2PTC, PXPA4PTC, PXPA2PTO, PXPA4PTO, and PXPA6PTO.

A:Â If you need more than 18 per side as I do, you can actually use two manifolds one for cold and one for hot, sized accordingly 24 hot 30 cold. just add a ?T? going from supply to both sides of each manifold from street or water heater
by|Oct 19, 2021
A:Â No. Each side, Hot and Cold, are independent of the other.

Answer This Question
A:Â Yes, PEX pinch/cinch clamps are actually the preferred method for making the manifold connections because they are easier to install in smaller spaces given the small footprint of the tool. I had hoped it was made of copper or brass...
I had hoped it was made of copper or brass but as long as the plastic doesn't leak I'll be very satisfied. The water test is a couple of weeks off. Otherwise it looks like it will perform as advertised.

Saves time on instllation over copper and galvanized
Shut off valves too close together. Difficult to tighten fittings on board. Not much room to install or remove pex crimp clamps.
