Questions & Answers

Is there a drain on the hot tub and if so where is it located?
ByOct 9, 2024
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

The product information and specifications don't mention a specific location for the drain. However, most hot tubs do have a drain, and it's typically located on the bottom exterior of the unit. It may be concealed behind a panel or access point. If you've purchased this hot tub, I recommend consulting the owner's manual for the precise location and instructions on how to use the drain. The manual is usually included with the product or can be found online on the product page under "Info & Guides". If you can't find this information, contacting the manufacturer directly is your best bet.

I have an outlet outside my home that is 220W 50amp. Will the tub be ready to just plug and play. Or will I need to change the tub wires?
ByApr 21, 2020

Answer This Question

This spa is plug-and-play ready for a 120V 15A outlet. While it can be converted to 240V, it requires professional installation by a licensed electrician to do so. It cannot be used with your existing 220W 50amp outlet without conversion.

Hello, Yes our spas are built to work in sub-zero temps. as to the electricity bill I am not able to give an estimate since it all varies by location.

        By|Feb 15, 2019

This tub has no chance @ maintaining temp in cold weather wired 120v because mine couldn’t keep warm with the outside temp at 65. Here is something else to make a note of wire @ 120. The tub will only heat if the pump speed is set at low and at low you almost don’t even feel the water jets and you are also told not to have the air turned on because it won’t be able to keep the heat. My list could go on and on but I think you get the point.

Exceeded my expectations! I love it!
Chose to pick up at delivery distribution center. Semi in our driveway wasnt an option. Brought it out on a fork lift, set the 9 ft tall pkg on my trailer. Freaked out realizing had to drive on interstate with icy roads. Went to home depot for extra tie downs. Got it home and into heated garage. 27⁰ outside. Unbeknownst, it had water in the lines and pump and could have froze and busted. After set up, total bliss every night. I would recommend this tub but you need a plan to get it delivered and set up.

Delivered to my driveway, I had a friend assist me in moving it (about 375lbs) onto locating. Filled in about an hour. Good Sturdy construction, followed instruction book and worked as described. Don't put to close to a wall or other item, make sure to give yourself room to access the cover side of it. It does not come with care products or even a pamphlet on how to care for it. We went to local spa sales place and they wanted to sell us about $200 worth of different chemicals to care for it. Instead, I asked a pool/spa cleaning professional that cleans them for a living. He said to buy a spa Floater and Bromine Tables. That works to keep it clean. Yes there are some other details to keeping it clean, but that is the main way. Over all , I'm very happy with this purchase, I did buy it on sale for $2799, Which made it a great deal. I'm a big guy and this is comfortable for 2 big people or 4 children and 1 adult, certiantly not 5 adults.

First off, this spa has 19 jets rather than just 14 listed in the description. I bought it with a $500 Labor Day discount which made it even more attractive. I did a fair amount of research on spas and chose this model based on cost, size, 220V option, simple controls (less to fail and less likely to fail), along with quality components such as the pump, heater, jets and ozone. I also considered the availability of replacement parts which seem to be in abundance at AquaRestSpas.com. I built a solid deck for it and did the installation myself which was straightforward enough. I've had it up and running for over a month now initially running it off 110V but recently had an electrician connect it to a 220V/50A service which is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned, particularly up here in NW Montana. The 220V/50A connection allows the spa to run in 4,000W heater mode which is much faster to heat up and better able to maintain temperature when it's being used. 110V only allows the heater to run in 1,000W mode (slow to heat) and it won't heat with the jets on. With a 220V/50A connection you can run the high speed or low speed pump with air jets, LED and waterfall and still have the water heated as you sit in it. In other words you can have it all, and all at the same time but only on 220V/50A. 220V/30A is still a great option but you can't run everything at the same time. On 110V the temperature drops 2F fairly quickly and if it's 30F or lower outside you'll wish you had the 220V connection. The included generic cover appears to be fairly well made and does a great job of keeping the heat in although two of the retaining straps aren't ideally placed for this particular spa. The other morning we had a hard frost with only a 2" wide strip of moisture bridging the seam in the middle of the cover. In other words heat wasn't getting through the cover to melt the frost other than a thin strip along the center seam. I did add a plastic bubble sheet to the spa (from local dealer) that floats on the water and helps keep heat in. The spa is a really good value costing many thousands less than spas from local dealers and it's simple enough that it's easy to replace parts if needed. If I had a magic wand I'd make the spa perhaps 2" deeper but it's not a big deal since I use the "lounge" seat and my girlfriend likes either corner seat. One thing I do plan on doing is stuffing (or spraying) additional insulation inside the compartment that houses the pump, heater and ozone. I think they could have done a better job of insulating that part but that's not based on any real data, just opinion. Overall we're really pleased with the spa and like it even more with the 220V connection. This is our first spa and it's one of those things that we should have bought a long time ago. The therapeutic benefits of sitting in the spa after a hard day of physical work can't be overstated. It's also quality time soaking in the tub, gazing at the mountains and stars while spending time with the people you love. If you live in a cold climate a spa allows you to enjoy the outside more in the winter making those short days seem a little longer. Given the simplicity and quality of the components, along with maintaining proper water chemistry, I expect to have many years of trouble-free ownership.

                  Very Happy
We are very happy with our purchase. The set up was simple. We were able to move the hot tub from the driveway to the backyard with 2 people and a dolly. We placed it on a concrete pad and built a deck around it. Once we had it in place we just filled it with water and plugged it in. It took about 24 hours to heat. We use the hot tub at least 3 times a week. Maintaining the chemicals is simple and takes all of 10 min every couple days. The electric bill is barely increased. Come winter it may be a different story but for right now the tub is not a power hog.

We returned it after a week. Never got up to 100. The cover was poorly made. The equipt panel had screws going all different ways. H.D. got it from Aquarest ( wholesaler) who actually got it from Dream Makers So we cant blame Home Depot. H.D. return was effortless. Just a bad spa.

Once the electrician was able to install a 50W, 220 connection everything worked fine. Not to big, not to small. We are enjoying it.

One of the jets does not work. However the other 28 are doing great! Running it on the 110 only, which means heat kicks off when jets are on- but it holds the heat! It drops by only one degree, so I am very happy! I have used it nightly for more than 3 weeks now. I am pleased with the purchase!
