The sediment pre-filter is used to prevent dirt and sediment particles from entering and clogging the main filter unit.     Q:I am not a plumber. Our water system enters our home in the basement ceiling. How does one find such an installation "easy?" I can't mount the unit to a poured concrete wall. Doesn't sound so easy to me. That is my biggest hold up about purchasing.

    A:  Love our system. We had a plumber install it. It is in a walk in closet in our entry way. The plumber relocated the piping to the back of the closet for more space. It sits nicely on the floor. You might have to repipe to install.

              Wow!
              Aquesana’s filtration system is giving us quality, good tasting water. My only regret was not installing the system until now. Here on Long Island NY we rely on aquifer and well water, not ideal for drinking and bathing due to the issues with contaminants found post water treatment from municipal facilities. We’ve had issues with water quality and taste and have resolved it with the Rhino aquesana system. I urge everyone who has the means to install this system in their home to do it and enjoy safer healthier and better tasting water for drinking cooking and bathing.
