A plumber installed the unit.

Is there an adapter kit or instructions for running water also to an ice maker?

Asked by Richard July 15, 2020

Good Afternoon Richard, Yes, you can have it going to the fridge directly or have it tee-d off, but we always advise that you might have a pressure drop. You can purchase a quick connect fitting from Home Depot and connect the Tee-fitting to the outlet that goes into the faucet. Unfortunately we cannot make any other recommendations on what to use to connect it to the refrigerator being that our systems are not manufactured to connect with refrigerators/ice makers. Best, Customer Support

My husband and I drink one gallon of water combined a day which means 30-gallons a month. If the 3-stage filter lasts 600 gallons wouldn’t that mean that we need to replace the filter every 20-months. Why do you recommend changing every 6-months then?

There are lots of questions here asking about physical dimensions of the units but I'm not seeing answers or finding info in the installation manual. I'm trying to confirm that a unit will fit inside my very small cabinet.

Asked by Daren March 30, 2020

Hello Daren, The undercounter part of the system is about 8 inches wide, 4.5 inches deep, and 9 inches from top to bottom, but you will need to allow a few inches underneath so that you can access and change the filters. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you! Aquasana Customer Support

the plate on my faucet broke can I just buy the part?

Leaking red cartridge, caught on camera!
Product instructions are clear, and the installation went smoothly. I added teflon tape to the plumbing joints to ensure those won't leak, but otherwise went by the book. The red canister leaks from the very top, where it connects into the main unit. I was even able to catch it on video! From reading the other reviews here, it looks like some people have had the same issue. Otherwise, the filtration is fine. The pressure seems good. And the faucet itself meets my expectations.

I replaced a defective water filtration system from another company. The total replacement time to install was less than 15 minutes. I have only had the product for a few weeks but I am very satisifed at this time.

So far so good (only had it installed a few days ago), this product looks great at my sink counter, and does the trick of taking the odor and scent out of the water. We had a plumber install it and I am glad. The mount underneath the sink doesn't take up too much space. I have not changed a filter yet, but hopefully it isn't terribly difficult. The oil rubbed bronze style blends into my neutral brown toned granite and with the black, bronze and stainless kitchen appliances. I am really glad Aquasana offered this style and color.

Great Tasting Water
The 2 stage filtration system is simple to install. One person can set it up but 2 people would be ideal. Luckily we already had a dish washer air gap hole on our granite so no hole drilling was required. All was needed was 2 screws to hold the filtration system in place. Looks great on the granite. Very convenient for drinking water. However, the flow is slow. To fill up a pot would take over a few minutes. The brushed nickle finish is very nice.

Today I am giving my review for the Aquasana AQ-5200 under the sink water purification home system. Out of the box, this complex system is laid out simply and with minimal pieces. The main filtration unit comes assembled with both filters already connected. There is a battery in the top to activate it. 2 pieces of plastic tubing, the above the sink faucet, and all the connection rings and fittings. The instructions are simple. Aquasana did a great job on the install manual. You WILL NOT have a problem installing this in the 45 minute recommended install period. First, start by turning off your cold water. I love that they state the obvious. Believe me, not all instructions state the obvious and that leads to a lot of problems. I will say that the only downside is that there is no mention of how to mount the faucet to your sink. The obvious choice is to remove your sink sprayer, but who wants to do that? The sprayer is so useful. I had to go to my local Home Depot and buy a 7/8" Milwaukee Bi-Metal Hole Saw and a Milwaukee 3/8" twist release arbor. This allowed me to properly drill out a faucet hole in my sink. (see pictures below). I RECOMMEND LAYING DOWN MULTIPLE STRIPS OF BLUE PAINTERS TAPE BEFORE DRILLING! This will eliminate scratching your sink and it will also catch metal shards and make for an easy clean up. Another small con is that the tubes that feed water into the system and that feed water out to the faucet just snugly feed into the filter. If these hoses get moved, they leak. It's as if the gravity gets disturbed, the water will leak. This is no bueno! I had to keep checking back to make sure that my cabinet wasn't filling with water. Once the system was finally installed and all the fittings tightened, I ran the system for the recommended 10 minutes. Everything works great! THE WATER TASTES GREAT! The faucet is beautiful and it compliments my sink and kitchen! BUY THIS FILTER! Drink healthy water and feel good that you and your family and friends are getting pure water. Looks Good and No Aftertaste
I installed this under cabinet water filtration system to replace one that attached to the facet. It was easy to install the dual filter system under my sink. I needed a second pair of hands to install the tap to make sure it was straight. The only thing missing was a socket wrench to tighten the bolt under the sink (other faucet products usually come with one that fits their bolt). I like the fact that filter has an alarm to signal when to change the filters. I let the water run for 10 minutes as indicated to clear the carbon. Afterwards, I tasted the water and it tasted fine with no aftertaste.

Good water but low flow rate
Installation of the filter was fairly easy if you are comfortable doing so. The water taste is good and pure. The only thing I don't like is that the flow rate is very slow. Takes about 35 seconds to fill a regular size cup. The line to the filter and to the spout are very small so maybe this is the cause but it's a little disappointing. Other then that it's good.
