I don't own the home anymore, but it was under the kitchen sink. It was a little tight when we changed the filters. My water was questionable at this house and this system worked very well.
There are two. They are roughly 2 and 3 feet.
No, but the faucet you use has to match the connector to the filter. FYI: We have recommended the filter to several friends and family members and all have chosen to use the faucet that comes with the filter.
Sounds like your system is working on getting the air out. It should stop after several hours. The Stage 3 filter leaking problem. It might sound counter intutive but you might have the top screwed on too tight. Try unscrewing the top just slightly so the oring is not in bind. I have the same problem when I installed it the first time and sometimes after changing the filters.
Tank is hermetic so in theory you can. It does have a membrane compressed air in the low side, water in the high side, the water flows in both directions depending on the pressure.
When the the tank is full it flows normal flow. If you fill large containers it empties the tank and the flow because very slow. You probably will hear a gurgling noise. This is the tank refilling. We run into this when ever we try to fill several water bottles at one time.
You can go to your local hardware store and get another fitting just like the one Aquasana sent you with your install kit. Install that fitting right on top of the fitting you installed from Aquasana then hook up the service line to your counter top dispenser. Now you have a place for the water line that feeds your filters and the water line that feeds your refrigerator. I hope I made this clear. Glad to help.
You should be able to order them from the website or have them put on Auto-Ship.
Good luck with the bluetooth. I never got it to work. Now as for the filter, I love it and am on the automatic replacement program.
There is a flow restriction valve in each of the canister heads. Why? Because you can unscrew the canister w/o a leak. You need at least 40 psi of pressure for the water to pass. Sometimes the valves fail. I had to punch out my first filters valve to get it to flow. Now it flows great. But the canister will shoot out water if disconnected. I have to make sure the water is off and the pressure relieved before removing canisters now. I recommend putting in a particulate filter before the Aquasana filters so the valves don’t get plugged/damaged.
