I would recommend contacting our warranty department. You can go to A2bath.com and under contact, you can fill out the form and request Warranty Service. Hopefully, they will be able to repair "in place".

are tubs with a smooth bottom available?

Asked by vic October 21, 2019

Answer

As a safety concern, we add 'non-skids' to ALL of our products, so for that reason, we do not have any units available with a smooth bottom within this product offering. Hope this answers your question.

Hello, Per the instructions, if you are mounting to wood studs, please use 1-1/2" galvanized roofing nails or #10 1-1/2" self tapping washer head screws. Always pre-drill, no matter what fastener is to be used. Thanks for your question.

I use Scubbing Bubbles. When you spray it on, it is purple. Once it turns white, I rinse it off and wipe clean with a cloth.

What materials used in this product is the Prop 65 warning for?

We manufacture with materials that include petroleum products ( resin) and thus we need to let the public know this. The material however is inert once produced.

I clean the tub but it is easy to stain. How to remove the stains look like dirt stains

Asked by Virginia October 4, 2018

Answers

Hello Virginia, Warm water and liquid detergents are for normal cleaning. Non abrasive cleaners such as Soft-Scrub Gel or Comet gel are fine. To keep if clean you may apply a coat of automotive wax or polish and buff to high shine with a soft towel. Repeat this every six months for lasting protection and easier cleaning. DO NOT wax standing surface, which could result in slipping and personal injury.

What can I use to get thinset (simpliset I think) off bottom of tub? It's not big chunks it's just in the texture bottom

Asked by AJL September 1, 2018
1
Answer

Hello, Thinset is not like plaster, which we instruct to remove with warm water, liquid detergent and a plastic scraper. If you have thinset, which is mortar and it is already cured, I would contact the manufacturer and ask them their thoughts. If you are scraping a cement product off the tub, you risk damaging the finish. The manufacturer of the thinset may have better knowledge about this. Good luck with your project.

What can I use to fix a small chip in this tub?

Asked by AJL September 1, 2018
1
Answer

Hello, We ask that the tub is fully inspected before installation to prevent issues such as this. If the unit is already installed and this happened during the installation process, you can try to get someone to repair or you can purchase a kit to do it yourself. Please send an email to marketing@aquaticbath.com and we can send you the info. Thank you.

Great modern tub
This tub is narrow, the basin width is 22 inches- but once inside it doesn’t feel snug at all, and the borders give extra room for my kiddos bath toys. I like the short height so even my 3 year old can step out no problem. The extra lip along the outside edge keeps all the water inside, which was the key feature in selecting the A2. I asked to open the box before purchase- 1st had a scuff, 2nd had a crack. 3rd was good- so just check first. I was worried when I saw the contractors stepping on the edge of it while putting tile around- but it handled well and is still holding strong. I’m very happy with purchase.

I love this tub. Its looks so modern and sleek due to its flat side. Its very durable... i have a small child who takes baths with his action figures and let me tell you this tub handles his rough play like a champ... wish his toys were this durable

Lightweight and an easy install. The thin wood slats that hold the side skirt out leave a lot to be desired. In that regard, the skirt is actually not straight from front to back so if you’re floor has a pattern. The bow will show.

The product is terrible. We had 2 of these tubs installed in fall of 2018. Within about a month of use, one tub developed 2 holes in the side. The other sags in many places and seems like it will soon break. The tub manufacturer offers a "lifetime" warranty but will not return my messages. I sent in my 2 receipts to Home Depot and they have not responded to several messages. I am very disappointed that Home Depot is not more selective in the product that they sell.

Water collects behind tub/surround

I had this product (tub & 3-pc surround) installed 6 days ago. I asked the installers about the gap between tub and surround - needed caulking? Was assured it did not, that it was "self-draining". Maybe in front of the surround, but it becomes water-logged in the deep, unseen 2" behind tub/surround when shower water hits it. Takes many paper towels and a lot of time to get water from behind surround/tub in corners and all the way around. Then I used a hair dryer to finish drying. I'm having a hard time finding someone to make this tub/surround waterproofed behind it!! I'd hate to see this set after a year or two of standing water behind it - would be black with mold. Manufacturer should do the right thing and give instructions on heavy caulking, backer rods, vinyl corner pieces, etc, to waterproof unit behind the tub/surround!!! (Don't blame discoloration on "hard water" or other nonsense!) Suggest you not buy this product unless you include in the installation waterproofing the unit!! My set has been installed for 6 days, unused, until I can find some way to get it waterproofed. Will have to wait to see if the tub cracks, like it has with a lot of other reviewers.

Multiple Cracking on the edge of head bathtub

I had general contractor installed the whole set on 12/31/15. We did not used it until today. After installation, I went online and found out product defect aka cracks. I did check it multiple times, but did not find any cracks at all. After I cleaned the tub and scrubbed for today on Tuesday. I did not see any cracks. When we moved in this afternoon, I found multiple cracks. Since, it already installed, HD is willing give me a new bathtub. But I have to pay the labor cost for general contractor to take out old tub and reinstall new tub. I hope he would honor his work by not going to charge for installation cost.
