Q:Which wet saws can be used with this wheel?

      Answer This Question

A:  This wheel does NOT QUITE fit in a DeWalt D24000 10" Wet Tile Saw. It will mount but it slightly touches the structural aluminum webs on the inside of the left (fixed) half of the split aluminum wheel/blade shroud. A 1mm spacer - washer under the wheel (left inside) or grinding a similar amount off the webs in 4 places, might allow enough clearance. The interference is with the outer back edge of the wheel which has 1/8" of diamond coating. Mounting the wheel with the brand and size etching facing left against the arbor is not possible at all - the interference is greater. The DeWalt manual says to use a 6" profile wheel. This makes the height on the work surface manageable without having to raise the saw way up using the plunge cut travel.

I’m not sure on how well it works, I was unable to use it. From the looks of it it would work great but had to use the bull nose tool for a grinder since this blade would not fit in my Ridgid 10” wet saw

This blade has consumed many hours of my time. It appears that it is supposed to be used on a 7" tile saw. Make sure your saw has adjustable elevation to get the profile right. Quality seems acceptable. Not completely satisfied yet but it's mostly due to the lack of info and setup recommendation

Profile wheel will not use again
It did the job, but probably shouldn't be used on a standard wet saw. It also didn't seem to be balanced very well cause there was quite a bit of vibration.

                Twice through leaves perfect edge
I purchased this blade to round corners on our travertine tiles for the threshold of the doorway into our new shower and the window ledges. It was used on a professional slide table tile saw. This is essential equipment since the thickness of the blade prevents its use in a cheaper tile saw. We found that running the tile slowly through the saw twice gave it an incredibly smooth and perfect edge. I highly recommend it for any finished edging on natural stone tile, since it's the only product we have used it on.

                  Well worth it
This bullnose blade costs less than half of equivalent top-name blades, but on even a moderately priced wet saw it performs well and gives good results. You can't expect it to leave a polished surface; polishing is separate operation with all of these profile molding blades, and I would only use it to bullnose the edge after cutting, not for the cutting itself. It profiles quickly and as smoothly as can be expected. Great product for the price.
