Product Details

Developed specifically for use with all sizes of Architectural Mailboxes Patriot mailboxes and plastic posts, the Patriot mounting board snaps easily onto the bottom of the mailbox so it can be installed quickly and easily to the post without the need for any hardware. The mounting board is also compatible with 4x4 wooden posts and can be screwed in directly with additional hardware. Made from polypropylene plastic that offers outstanding strength and stability, it's treated with an ultraviolet inhibitor to provide long-term service.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. The Patriot plastic mounting board is compatible with a 4 X 4 wooden post. However, it is designed for the Gibraltar Patriot mailbox line only.

    A:  My post is a 4x4 wood and the mounting board fits perfectly on top and I just screwed it in place with 4 screws. This is the second board I've had to buy as the former one was destroyed with the box when hit by a car. This is the third box I've put on this model of board as the box doesn't always survive snow plow damage.

    A:  Yes. I put on a 4 x 4 post. 4 screws (included) and the new bow was set.

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. It depends on the mounting set up. You may have to make some modifications to the existing post or the mailbox to make it work. We cannot guarantee the mailbox will fit an existing metal post.

          This is our third purchase of this model. We live on a busy rural road and the last one was run over. They also get hit by heavy snow thrown up by the plow. While there was no hope for the one hit by the car, the snow plow damage is usually minimal as the box will give on it's base and I can just knock it back into proper position. Replacing the box is also easier when the damage is too great as it just pops off the base and the new one snaps back into position. I've had to put the box back on the post more than once after the plow has passed. The size of the box is good and most mail will fit just fine. Magazines lie flat and many boxes fit perfectly. It's a great box and there is no rust. The box is 200 feet from the house and I can check for the flag to see if mail has been delivered before I walk down to the road. I'll buy it again when I have to.
