Do you need to purchase power chord for electric start or is it included?

Asked by: Bill
You have to supply your own. I just use a heavy duty extension cord I had lying around in the basement.

Path-Pro SS21EC 21 in. 208cc Single-Stage Electric Start Gas Snow Blower is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60.

The test is how long it will stand up after working it for a couple of months or years. As you know, snow has not yet fallen and I can not say weather I made a good purchase or not. Secondly. why there is such a problem in registering it. the second part of the registration is not necessary especially that puzzle solving which I think is so unnecessary . I will like to register my snow blower but unable to do so after answering all the questions. I will rate if after using it. since I have to rate it I will give it one star because I have not used it as yet. After the winter I will give it an honest rating.

It will move a lot of snow, but don't expect it to perform like a dual-stage on hard heavy deep snow. I'm on my third season with mine and it takes on a 50'x20' driveway in the heart of New England, and we see more snow than most. It's actually fun to operate and way more lighter and maneuverable then the big heavy steel machines. Only regret is I wished I didn't spring for the electric start. Save your money, mine still starts on the first pull every time and I have had it for years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Definitely get the remote shoot option so you can save time. Biggest problem is it is loud and annoying for neighbors when clearing snow early in the morning. Works as well as Toro and other popular brands except for the noise. I like that it is American made.

Assuming I can get it to start, it doesn't exactly throw snow - the snow mostly just tumbles out of the chute. If conditions are exactly right - 3 inches of snow, no more, no less...and a precise consistency, the machine will throw snow no more than 3 to 5 feet. Most of the time it simply clogs up in the chute and eventually tumbles out. As for the hard starting, I take very good care of my machines (they're expensive!). I use the correct weight oil for the temperature and change oil every 5 hours of use (or less). This machine starts and runs like a charm all spring, summer, and fall. But once the temp hits 25 degrees or less forget it. Even the electronic start cannot get it to run. I'm incredibly surprised at how poorly this snow thrower functions. I bought it strictly on the strong reputation of the Ariens company.

I had to return due to faulty chute control cables, attempted to adjust cables per owners manual but it's challenging with the limited space provided and wouldn't want to keep making that repair if the problem continues. I should have bought the manual chute model and saved a $120. Very disappointing seeing as the blower probably works great but I never got to find out.
