We have used this type of puck light in our boats for years, some are so overpriced for what you get and get really hot with use. This light fits a niche for surface lighting without breaking the bank while still giving the beautiful white light and about zero heat output. We started using this for under cabinet lighting as our cabinets had a false bottom to be level with the microwave installation and gave us plenty of room for wiring. We used a smart controller to output the correct power & works very well and adds the cool effect. Very nice project

I am amazed with the output of this 2" LED. For a 2" unit, it really puts out the light. The swivel head on such a small unit really does allow for flexibility of light direction.
Listed at 4000K, the color is not too white, and not warm - the focused light is pleasant.
I set this up on the wall of my barn with it shining 15 feet to the other end. 9 foot candles at 8 feet, 3 foot candles at 15 feet. There is a picture attached with a drill at the 15 foot range - very visible, and the light is impressively bright at 15 feet away. I plan to purchase a few more of these units to act as spot lights for special projects where I need focused light that I can aim - and the 12v platform is already set up inside my barn so these are perfect.
I am impressed with the light output, the ease of install after drilling a small hole, and the flexibility of the unit for aiming. The brushed steel is close to a chrome, but with the "brushed" finish.
I will mention the set screws on the side for the swivel - which come loose easily and need to be tightened. This is an easy Philips screw on both side but may need some attention if you are working on the fit like I did for a few minutes. I would also suggest a maximum thickness for mounting as sheet rock - not deep hard wood or trim pieces.

Armacost Lighting 2 in. Bright White Recessed LED Swivel Puck Light, Brushed Steel. I am just blown away with this light fixture. Even with it's tiny size of has all of the benefits of a large recessed fixture. It is 12 volt low voltage, so you'll need a separate power supply. The construction of it is very good. As a professional electrician, I am always looking for new products to provide for my customers. Has nice finish and very bright.

In our house we have some built-in shelves in our living room with under cabinet puck lights. We were looking for upgrade options. I ordered this to see how it would work, unfortunately the existing hole is too large for this light. Since this light takes 12vdc I thought I would use it for some experiments with some battery backup lighting projects I have been casually thinking of doing for a while. The light seems to be high quality and is very easy to install with spring clips. A 1-3/8 hole saw (which is a standard trade size for 1” emt box connectors) works nicely to drill the hole. The 4000k light color produces a bright cool white The light is bright and provides a lot of light for 3 watts. Playing around I made a battery backup box for instant light if the power goes out. I used an old box, drilled a hole in the top to mount the light. I placed a small 12v 1.3ah lead acid battery for the power, I used a relay that is energized by a wall socket. While the relay is energized is holds the circuit open from the battery to the light, when power goes out the relay closes the circuit to the light which turns it on. I put a float charger on battery to keep it charged while in standby.

Armacost 2 inch recessed light is pretty neat.
It’s very easy to install. And it’s adjustable so if the light isn’t actually where you want it shining you can change the angle of the light and then twist the whole light assembly to get it right.
The light is small and very useful if you need light in an area where mounting space is small this works for that.

The 2"" Armacost 12 volt DC swivel puck recessed light is perfect for my trailer lighting enhancement project I'm working on. The light has an integrated metal finish trim and the body fits into a small 1-3/4" hole. The swivel allows for side to side direction of light. The adjustment allow flexibility in use and direction of useful light. I'm adding this light fixture to enhance lighting in the interior of an enclosed recreational vehicle haul trailer work area. The light fixture only draws 3 watts and and puts out 240 lumens. I prefer this (4000 K) bright white light color for improved color rendering and when working on recreation vehicles. Installation is as easy as drilling a hole and hooking up the wiring and using the spring mount flanges to secure and hold it in place. For the small size, the actual light output is amazing! Overall, I'm very impressed with the light fixture and plan to do even more low voltage (12 volt) lighting upgrades with Armacost low voltage lighting products in my RV, home, boat and trailers.

This is a really nicely made light. Often when I find myself working on things, I can't seem to get the light where I need it, especially working on todays cars, just always seems to be something in the way and I need to get the light deep down inside the engine compartment. Or when I can use a flashlight I need to hold it where I can see what I am looking at however now the flashlight is in the way. What I did with this light is it fits perfectly in the end of an 1.25" PVC coupler. Even the ribs inside are the perfect place for the "ears"./springs. Almost like it was made for this. In addition, I can use different lengths of PVC pipe, elbows, connectors and the like to build any configuration I need...
Because it fits in the end of the pipe like it does, it gives me other ideas on how to mount and use this.
The light is very bright and the swivel end helps put the light where I need it. However the swivel is a bit stiff.
In the description it states that the power supply has to 12V. I can understand the confusion but prospective buyers do tend to look at the main description headline, rather than skimming down the page.
I tested this 12-volt light having connected the two wires on to a spare power supply in my darkened basement. It is classes as a 240 lumen (Approx.’ 18 Incandescent Watts)
I really do not know where the best place for it to go. Having to use an outlet is somewhat defeating the purpose where a few batteries would suffice in a lower voltage light. Having said that, it is well made and gives enough illumination as would a small flashlight.
I am recommending this unit because it is well made and sturdy, but my wife uses a battery powered light in her wardrobe closet and she says they last her for months at a time before recharging them so it really up to the consumer to see what is best for their own preference.
This has a 90 day return.

I installed my ARMACOST LIGHTING 2 IN. BRIGHT WHITE RECESSED LED SWIVEL PUCK LIGHT, BRUSHED STEEL in a protected area of my patio to light up my brick work. It should be more obvious in the advertising that this is low voltage, I knew it, but it is not in large enough print in the add. That being said it is very easy to install and gives off a nice light.
