Thanks for your interest in Armacost Lighting. If you have an outlet that is wired to an AC Dimming switch, this product will work with it and operate properly.
Yes! If you have a larger gauge wire - that is always better. If the wire can safely be terminated under the manufactures terminal - that is great. The only issue is the maximum wire size allowed under the manufacturers terminal. If the manufacturer only allows a maximum of a 14 gauge wire under the terminal then, you need to safely splice the 12 gauge to a small piece of 14 gauge. Then terminate the 14 gauge “pigtail” under the terminal. The bottom line is... I think you are safe with the 12 gauge on the terminal. If it fits safely and securely, you’re good
Thanks for your interest in Armacost Lighting. This power supply does not have an integrated dimmer. You can hook up an RGBW smart controller on the output/DC side of this power supply as long as the controller runs on 12V DC. No I wouldn’t see any issues with that - I have put these on dimmers with no issue many times for customers- great idea!
Hi Justin, there are a lot of variations that go into this. Here is the quick info: Armacost makes 3 different LED strips, Pro 30, Pro 60 and Pro 120. The difference is how many LED lights in a foot: Pro 30 is 9 LED light in a foot, Pro 60 18 and Pro 120 36. Each strips pulls different Watts: Pro 30 pulls 10 Watts for every 8ft. The Pro 60 pulls 19 for every 8ft and the Pro 120 not sure but I know it needs its own power Supply... So in your case for the Pro 30, 54\8=6.75*10W would give you pulling 67.5 watts so no the 45 would not work you would need a 120 or break up the run into 2 parts with 2 45W power supples. You can find all this info on Armacostlighting.com

This power supply converts 120 V AC power to 12 volt DC power. If your lights accept 12V DC input, this power supply should work for your purposes. One note is that this power supply is rated for damp locations, and should be shielded from direct water exposure if installed outdoors.
