Thanks for your interest in Armacost Lighting RibbonFlex PRO. No a two connector will not work with a three pin light strip. To reconnect a three pin light strip you most likely will need to solder wire onto the copper pads.
I have not seen one. I had to bend the wires to make a turn.
No, it does not pop off.
Currently, the longest jumper cable we offer is our 48” SureLock extension connector, however, interconnects of any length can be made easily. Take a single one of these 8-inch Wire lead connectors and split it in half. Then, splice in your own supplemental wiring based on your needs using wire nuts, butt-splice connectors, or any other common wire-to-wire splice technique. Download the installation guide found on this product page for additional information.
No, this connector is not recommended for outdoor use. Soldering is usually the best option for your wire connections in outdoor applications, however, we do offer an outdoor rated connector option that is not yet available on homedepot.com. Armacost Lighting’s RibbonFlex Pro white lighting is available in 3000 Kelvin Warm White (homedepot.com item# 203227243), and our new 2700 Kelvin Soft White (homedepot.com item# 207159077). Other color temperatures are also available, but this connector can work with white or single-color lighting of any color temperature, provided it is 8mm wide, and has appropriate copper pad contacts.
Yes, this product can be used to make a power connection to a separate, cut section of RibbonFlex White tape lighting. Typically, you would cut the connecting wire in half, which would allow you to splice in enough 18-gauge, low-voltage wiring to bridge the gap between lighting sections. Or, you can use a our SureLock Extension connector (homedepot.com item# 206680253) which provides a 4' wire lead that spans many typical gaps without the need for additional wire. Alternatively, you can solder your connecting wiring directly to the copper pads on which the lighting is cut, just like the factory-made ends, and forego connectors completely. I did not see any longer connectors. I needed to span about 2 feet where I did not want lights so I used one of these connectors, cut it in half, and spliced in the exact amount of 18ga wire that I needed. It worked perfectly-just remember to maintain correct polarity.
