Good afternoon Mike. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This flooring has a 12 mil (0.012") wear layer. Wear layer thickness isn't relative to the thickness of the product. It is ore a factor of the flooring being made for residential or commercial environments. A 12 mil wear layer is made for residential and light commercial traffic. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Yes, just make sure your cuts are nice and straight. Make sure to get the right Glue.Don't use the Roberts 2057 you have to put it down wait hours for it to turn clear before putting the planks down. This didn't completely dry for months and the glue came up between the planks even though I had them tight and taped for over a month. Find a glue you can put down and put the planks on it right away. You can see my last 3 pic's where it came up, also took the backing off the new bathroom rug. You can see the white backing stuck to the floor seams in pic 4, this was 4 months out after installing. I was mad.
Good morning Bob. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The most commonly used adhesive for this flooring is the Armstrong S-288 flooring adhesive, or the S-315 RollStrong roll on adhesive. There are others that can be used if you have a high moisture level in the subfloor, but either of these 2 will be your best option. Here is a link to the installation instructions for this flooring. https://sforce.co/32bdSyt I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Good afternoon Joe. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Unfortunately I am not seeing where a sample is available to order online. A flooring associate from the Home Depot can reach out to their ordering department here at Armstrong to order a sample for you. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Good morning. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. Our recommended subfloor flatness is 3/16" over a 10' span. Out side of this range we recommend leveling the subfloor. We also do not recommend installing over an OSB subfloor. We recommend installing an underlayment panel that is suitable for the installation of resilient flooring. Here is a link to our recommended underlayment panels. https://sforce.co/2SabuSX I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.

Good morning Star. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. When installing vinyl flooring we state that the subfloor must be smooth and flat, within 3/16" over a 10' span. Installing on a floor with more variation than this can lead to gaps in the installed flooring and you will also see the variations in the subfloor under the vinyl flooring. I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
