AnswerYes, just make sure your cuts are nice and straight. Make sure to get the right Glue.Don't use the Roberts 2057 you have to put it down wait hours for it to turn clear before putting the planks down. This didn't completely dry for months and the glue came up between the planks even though I had them tight and taped for over a month. Find a glue you can put down and put the planks on it right away.You can see my last 3 pic's where it came up, also took the backing off the new bathroom rug. You can see the white backing stuck to the floor seams in pic 4, this was 4 months out after installing. I was mad.

The most commonly used adhesive for this flooring is the Armstrong S-288 flooring adhesive, or the S-315 RollStrong roll on adhesive. There are others that can be used if you have a high moisture level in the subfloor, but either of these 2 will be your best option. We also do not recommend installing over an OSB subfloor. We recommend installing an underlayment panel that is suitable for the installation of resilient flooring. Installing on a floor with more variation than this can lead to gaps in the installed flooring and you will also see the variations in the subfloor under the vinyl flooring. I requested this vinyl flooring in the March Home Depot Seeds campaign because our kitchen vinyl flooring has been tearing and taking more damage with the recent remodeling work in there where we had to move our 3 foot wide french door fridge. At first when I opened the packaging, I thought that I had been sent the wrong product because Armstrong flooring calls these plank flooring. I may be off my rocker or just old fashioned, but when I ask for plank flooring, the first thing I expect to be shown is actual wood flooring. Semantics aside, when I started laying out the vinyl plank strips, I did find that the flexibility of the vinyl was advantageous when it come to fitting the strips into odd sized and oddly shaped recessed areas.
That being said, I have done a fair amount of research into flooring and anything less than a 3 mil wear layer is generally considered overly thin and prone to showing scratches, scuffing, dents and sun damage in a shorter period of time. In light of this, I still opted to install this flooring because I can't have a large torn section of flooring remain directly in front of the water dispenser on the fridge.

The finish on these vinyl planks is a rich and natural looking brown (burnish). It is a great complimentary color to just about any decor or color scheme. The water resistance of the plank makes them very versatile to use even in areas with high humidity. Cutting the planks is so simple and it is a great benefit to not run to the power saw and make cuts every plank - just a razor or scissors depending on if the edge will show. One huge negative is the necessity of an adhesive. Why don't all vinyl planks come with factory adhesive to make a truly diy dream product?

What I like the best is that all planks were well-made, solid, and I am confident that it will last. These planks are vinyl with reinforced fiberglass which can be used virtually anywhere, commercial or residential. They are an ideal material for high-moisture areas, including bathrooms and laundry rooms. Exposure to water, they will not swell, buckle or loosen. They can be installed over both concrete and wooden subfloors.
I first started the installation of these planks in my laundry room and I like it so much that I will do additional rooms. They are glued down, which requires a specific adhesive material. Cutting the planks is easy with just a straight edge and a utility knife. Simply score the surface of the plank a few times and then snap it to separate the pieces. After completing installation, I replace the wall base, and now I have a waterproof floor. Note that similar recommendations apply as laminated wood by leaving certain gaps under wall base and have stagger end joints by at least 6 inches (ca. 15 cm) apart. Also, run the planks in such a way that will result in the least amount of cutting, normally this will be running the planks along the longer sidewall. What I like about it is that it is durables and waterproof.

I wanted the look of our upstairs wood floors for our basement floors. Due to the potential for water and dampness, I elected to go with Armstrong Vinyl Plank flooring (American Home Burnished Hickory) in the basement and happy I did. While the vinyl flooring is actually strips of vinyl, and not planks, it gives the look of wood planks on the floor. The grain, color and texture of the flooring almost looks like real wood; If the edges were a bit beveled, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference looking at it. Installation was rather easy using the appropriate adhesive. You'll need to go online for instructions, but it is a very simple process and an easy project for the DIY'ers. Something that I learned very quickly is not to over apply the adhesive - in this case less is best. I would apply a section of flooring and then roll it flat using a rented floor roller from our local HD. Overall, I'm happy with the look and have piece of mind should the basement ever have moisture issues.

The Armstrong American home Hickory vinyl plank is the ideal plank you want to use if you have light walls. The plank Has a rustic look which fits a naturally in any room you added to. I am installing mine into my kids bedroom that has a accent wall. He uses a standard locking mechanism which makes it quick and easy to install if you have done this before. If this is your first time installing this type of planks I will suggest you get the suggested tool to tap in the locking mechanisms.

Love the look of this plank flooring. This has a very nice low gloss vinyl plank, it was our first glue down and it went pretty quick. Cutting the places where needed was fairly easy. We followed the instructions and it came out well. We have many cats and two dogs this was one of our concerns when we decided to purchase this flooring, it has been a few weeks and we have no marks on this so far it is the perfect fit for our needs.

The luxury vinyl plank is beautifully made. The surface is quite hard, which should withstand scratches and heavy traffic. Since it is vinyl it withstands water, so it is perfect for the bathroom and kitchen. The pieces are 2mm thick, so any imperfection under it will be reflected. Therefore, clean and pre-process the surface before glueing this plank on. The pattern and color is really close to real wood. The quality is excellent. Installation is easy if the right tools and material are used.

For anybody looking to update their space(s) with vinyl flooring, this product is a good option. Although it is described as 'planks' it is more like wide strips, IMO. I chose this for a bathroom floor in a rental unit but have yet to install as I received just one box and will have to order more. The shade is attractive with a low gloss, textured look and feel. Any surface that this will be used on will have to be level and smooth to prevent damages to the vinyl itself. Does it look like real wood? No but the fact that it's scratch resistant and waterproof makes it a good alternative.

Pictures do NOT do this flooring justice! No matter the light in the pictures there is a glare that is not present out of the pictures. The flooring looks like wood ,maybe even a tad better than real wood in the sense that a human / computer took all the best aspects of wood grain and put it on this flooring.
Also the pictures are showing a "red" there is not i this wood. It is brown and grain brown/black. There is nothing this flooring could not blend into.
The pictures show how much area one box covers; it is a good bit
What makes me LOVE this flooring is it makes for excellent "floating" flooring. If in an apartment or other home in which one cannot make permanent alterations, this flooring is an option. It does NOT move from normal traffic! I have had it in my bathroom for months now and it has not budged whatsoever.
It is so very easy to manipulate and cut with a box cutter. As seen in the pictures, each sheet is as thin as a quarter! Despite being extremely flexible, bendy and thin, it is amazingly "Armstrong!"
