Product Details

Armstrong WOODHAVEN Painted White 5-in x 84-in planks applied to the ceiling or wall offer a clean, classic look that works with any space. These planks are made of medium density fiberboard, are easy to handle and can be installed to joists, drywall, plaster, or even 15/16-in grid. Painted White planks can also be installed to walls. See attached installation instructions for details on all installation options.

A: Hi Tammy. Yes, as long as your HVAC system is running all year round and you keep the temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 86°F (30°C) your enclosed 4 seasons room would be a condition you could install our Woodhaven planks in.

A: Hi Nick. The Woodhaven planks are a progressive install. If you would need to gain access above you would need to remove the last plank installed and work backwards to the space you need to get to.

A: Woodhaven is not intended to to be stapled or glued. There are 3 ways to install it: 1. Woodhaven Clips and Screws (included in every carton) 2. Easy Up Tracks and Clips (not included) 3. Moved into a 1967 home that had an incomplete conversion that included a very ugly drop down acoustic tile ceiling. We bought this to replace that ceiling. VERY easy to install and the end result looks great. Instructions could be better however.

Works great on walls AND ceilings

I redid our covered patio with these planks (two different colors, see before and after pics attached). After you get the first row level (on the wall) / straight (on the ceiling) (which is super important), work progresses quickly and the result looks great. Would definitely use these again in a heartbeat. Great quality / fit / finish / instructions. It gets a little tricky around windows / skylights / recessed lights, but that is to be expected.

Love the outcome

We really like how it turned out. The color is beautiful and seemed easy to install by our contractor. We installed the plywood prior to install the plank to the ceiling.

The installation went good. Mounted directly to the ceiling using the clips provided with no real problems. Used a miter saw for cuts and a table saw for ripping.

impressive product

Its only been installed 6 months- otherwise 5 stars. Worth the price for a finished basement because of the labor it saves compared to a board and plaster or wood ceiling. The smooth satin finish works anywhere. I installed it on the standard 15/16” armstrong 2’x2’ grid with easy up clips. Plan your access panels and lighting layout as if you were nailing the planks to structure. It does not disassemble. Planks are 3/8 mdf and floppy; so they’re unforgiving. If you are nailing to structure make sure your ceiling framing is flush and flat as possible. If you don’t I assume you will have a wavy disaster for a ceiling. Get an extra box of easy up clips if you’re over 200 sqft. And you need some type of crown molding to finish.
