Hello, Unfortunately, it is not possible to assemble the doors on the side.

If I order a shed, do I have to put it together or the company has someone to do it?

Hello, Our sheds are designed as DIY projects in hopes of saving on installation costs. We recommend at least two people are required to assemble a shed of any size – at least one to position parts or panels, and one to handle fasteners and tools. Assembly time depends on a variety of factors, including roof design, tools available, DIY skill and the pace at which you work. Guidelines for each shed assembly are approximate AFTER completion of the base, and assume two or more people working on the assembly. Generally, you should plan on at least one day working with someone who can assist you. We try to make our manuals as detailed as possible in order to prevent mistakes. You can always visit our website for assembly tips or call us for assembly support 7 days a week at 1-800-851-1085 (press 1). http://www.shelterlogic.com/arrow-sheds/maintenance/assembly-tips/ Thank you

This isn't a cheap tin shed. It was a lot of work. 84 man hours. Get some help. If you are not good at interpreting and following directions, get a lot of help. Make sure that your base is level, or the building will tweak, and it will be hard to line up the holes. Common sense. The end result is well worth the effort. I think it is a great value for the buck. And it looks great. Would do it again. Recommended for those looking for a longer lasting quality shed.

All I wanted was a shed that I wouldn't hit my head when I walked through the door. This shed while not exactly super easy to erect wasn't that bad to build. So far I like the space I gained (the old shed was 14x10' this one is 10x15') and feels much much bigger!

Difficult Assembly

Most of the holes did not line up...we had to make a few of our own. Roof assembly was especially difficult, reaching from panel to panel, lining up became very frustrating at times. Finished product though is not bad...we just were so relieved to have it completed! This was the large 10 x 25 foot building.

Screws and nuts and bolts and plastic washers OH MY!

I know it's held together by screws and nuts and bolts, however, I would have never believed just how many, there were a few holes that were not predrilled, be prepared to drill lots of 1/8" hole and a few 1/4" holes that are not there, and READ the directions and FOLLOW them to the letter, I used a magnetic parts holders to keep the nuts and screws in place and separated, they give you plenty, but they are SMALL and you will drop them regularly, the platform must be level, square and Plumb to make the shed holes line up, once it's up it's a good thing it fit my needs perfectly, however it would have been faster and easier to build a wood shed the same size, and cheaper in the short run. Would I build another Metal shed? NO! Would I recommend buying a metal shed? NO! Am I glad my project for the metal shed is over? YES! Of the metal sheds I have seen and looked at this one is the one to get if you are going to get one. It is study for a metal shed.

What a pain to assembly

Ok once assembled this building is nice so the three star rating is because of assembly. For the 10x20 their is 4 truss assembly's you must put together which each have 22 pieces each. This thing is like a large erector set and is a pain to put together. The hardware you get is cheap screws you get for the roof is small screws with plastic washers you must put on every screw. I opted not to install those in my roof because the plastic will crack over time in the sun and leak. I used self tapping sheet metal screws with rubber gaskets for a better seal. Pre drilled holes don't all line up so it makes it harder. One piece of advice I have is to ensure you are level and square during the whole assembly process. I would also consider the assembly time which took two of us 2 1/2 weekends and look at a wood model yes more expensive but would be so much easier to put together. And yes we both know about construction. The only way I would suggest this product is if you only bought the 10x10 because the larger you go like the one I bought the 10 x 20 you get two 5 foot expansion modules and the holes and extruded pieces are not exactly the same probably due to poor QA during manufacturing I hope this review informs you of what to expect with this building and if size vs cost is you main consern as it was for me than this may be for you just be prepared for some labor and irritation.

Individual pieces feel flimsy. Once assembled though, it seems sound. But, the assembly process though... that sucks! I didn't have the problem with the holes lining up until I started on the skin. When it recommends using an awl, it's not just a suggestion. It took forever to build, upwards of 45 hours. If I ever get another, I'll pay the extra to have one pre-assembled.
