do you assembly this building
Asked by: dootsy
Assembly is required, read the instructions carefully, plan on 2 people to assemble, and do not put together on a windy day. Also, the project will typically take two days to complete.

The (over 400) tiny sheet metal screws which are totally inadequate. They are #8 and way to short to secure two layers of sheet metal plus the plastic washer. The first ones I installed popped out. I purchased 3/4" #12 roofing screws. They already have the rubber seal on them. The screws holding the upper door track either need a shorter screw (1/2") or use a Dremel tool to trim them a little shorter so the door hangers will clear. One other problem was the plastic door handles. I installed a metal padlock hasp to secure the door better. Other than that, my wife (81) and I (85), got it up in a couple days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my second one !! I bought this same shed several years ago and really liked it, so I went for a second one. The direction are very clear and no one should have any trouble assembling this shed. You do have to have help and both workers need to have power drills. There are ALOT of screws. Both of us are in our late 60's, so we took two days for the project. Two days later it rained and no leaks. I had sealed the outside base with roofing cement as the direction stated. Much better then caulking.!! I will buy a third if needed in the future. Oh, one more thing. We had a 100 mph wind here some months back, and a no damage to the to the first shed.!!!

Even when locked, this shed is not secure. As soon as it was installed, someone kicked the door in. We hadn't even had the shed long enough to start using it for storage and the shed is now useless because it can no longer be locked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The directions for the most part were easy to follow.... The directions for the most part were easy to follow. Shed sustained minor damage from a recent hail storm but still holding up quite well. My biggest problem was a lack of consistent help. My wife and son assisted when possible but total assembly time took 14 days (working 3 to 4 hours each day). Arrow mailed out a couple of missing door parts in less than a week which worked for me. The initial delivery of the shed was interesting because the box was huge and it took 3 people (including me) to haul it back to my garage because my driveway is 160 feet long. The delivery persons stated that the box weigh in excess of 500 pounds. When the weather warms up, I want to apply a clear coat of Rust-Oleum over the entire surface of the shed. Overall, it was a rewarding experience to tackle a project of this magnitude.

Very difficult to assemble and I did everything the instructions suggested, and tried several other things, but I still have not been able to get it to stop leaking. Does not appear to be coming through the roof, but every time it rains water pools up on the floor. The structure is pretty solid though. Would not recommend it to anyone who is not very agile, or very mechanical, as assembly turned out to be quite a project, and the leak issue still is not solved.

Instructions were vague in places as if written by someone who used English as a second language and wasn't quite sure of the proper grammatical use in assembly process. Need information re snow-load strengthening kit made more visible so it is not missed when ordering shed. This my second identical shed in the past 21 years. First was destroyed by a falling tree.

This takes more than 2 people to put together as the directions state and takes about 20 hours to put together. There are soooo many screws and the directions are not always accurate. Also at least half of the predrilled screw holes were too small which meant we needed to drill before we could screw. I would never get this again or recommend it!

It is definitely a two or more person job, but went together really easy following the plans that came with it. I like the head room inside, the door is a little short but once inside you can stand up and move around. I have only had it for two weeks but it is doing the job I need it to do.
