I suppose you could; not sure how nice it would look though. It might end up looking bubbled unless you completely cover the back with the tape

How do you remove this product if you want to change to new design?

Answers

Spray to wet it and then just peel it back off from one corner. It is reusable if you're careful with it and especially if you've kept the backing that it comes with. Lay it on the backing and when it is completely dry you can roll it back up.

What does the application look like from behind ?

On my window, it has a glare tint built in so you hardly see the design during the day. At night, with a light on, it looks like stain glass.

does this product come in a roll or by each 24 x 36 sheet?

Terrazzo is limited in size to 24 In. x 36 In. The pattern repeats so you can match multiple pieces to cover a larger window if needed.

I imagine the colors may fade over time. Any comments would be appreciated.

The amount of "fade," if any, would be dependent on the amount of UV exposure it gets. The film attaches by "static cling," so it's easy to remove if it fades. Some of the films are plain textures (no colors), so these should last almost indefinitely if possible fading is a concern of yours. In any rate, they're not all that expensive so you could replace any film that faded. YMMV. Good luck!

No. That defeats the purpose.

I have 10 Windows measuring 5.3 in length and 1.3 in width how much of this will I need?

Asked by kim October 24, 2018

One package should work - this is 24x36 inches. So if you cut 1.3 inch wide strips 36 inches long, you could cut six pieces at 5.3 inches long from the strip (using only 31.8 inches). If you cut two of these 1.3 inch wide strips, that would only use 2.6 inches of the 24 inches you have available. Even if you mess up, you will have lots of extra material.

I compared this one to the others and it has the most obscure pattern so no one can see in. It is very easy to install as long as you get your measurements just right. No need to buy the installation kit. I used a spray bottle with water, credit card as a squeegee, and an exacto knife. Cut to fit with backing still on and once you peel off the backing, spray the back of film with more water. If you need to trim once it's on the window, use credit card to hold end down and use a as guide to make the cut or you'll lift the film off the window and tear i .

This Artscape Terrazzo window film is made of a high quality material that feels substantial and looks good. This is a very attractive stained glass pieces pattern. I had a harder time cutting and hanging the film than I expected. Otherwise the instructions are clear and easy to follow. However, I have to say that because this comes only in limited sizes, it might be hard to fit this film properly in your window or door without significant cutting or using multiple pieces (which could get expensive and wasteful). Cutting straight edges on the sides is difficult of windows that are narrower than the film, and worse, windows that are wider, leaving a gap on the sides. I feel like this might mostly be a problem with replacement windows that can be odd sizes. Further, the definite flower pattern makes matching cut pieces difficult. So, I have to assume that the manufacturer definitely intended people to only use one package per pane, essentially doubling the amount of product needed for a given window. Since this is a more random pattern, it can be used in its original vertical orientation as well as horizontally, allowing different cutting/placement options. In all, I think this film are adequate, but are more effort to get a perfect, professional (-ish)fit and look than I expected. measure your windows and honestly, expect to have to buy twice what you were expecting. I really wanted to like these films, but fit and eventual finish is less satisfactory than I was hoping.

Beautiful colors in the Terrazzo window film. Blues to greens to browns very lovely. This is a vertical pattern and I really needed a horizontal pattern which is why it is on my table and not on my window. I pulled up a corner to gauge the thickness and it is really nice and thick. It also left a really pretty pattern on the paper backing from the light.

This window film looks excellent. It does have the look of "Stained Glass" which should be in the title of item online instead of having the title of "Terrazzo" (it might sell better with the stained glass title). It goes on the window glass somewhat easily. You do need to clean the glass well and it helps to have a pair of extra hands to help hold & you do need a good squeegee to press out all the air bubbles. The instructions say the over time the colors will fade especially if the window gets extreme heat, and that the film might need replacing every 1 to 2 years.

It came with the squeegee which was great because it is needed for installation. It was super easy to cut and put up. Simple and easy instructions to follow were also included. You do need patience to squeegee the bubbles out but they all come out. The colors are vibrant and provide plenty of privacy. I am ver pleased how it came out and it only took me about an hour. Also ensure to clean your window for easy application.

I was super excited to get my Terrazzo decorative window film and get it installed in the shower window of my tiny house. The product arrived in a flexible plastic box so you can see the roll of film inside the box. The box I received had some slight damage to one end which allowed the film to crinkle on one end of the roll. Thankfully I did not need the full roll to cover the window in my shower. I rolled out the film to measure and cut a piece to fit my window measurement attempting to work around the crinkled end of the film. Next, prep the window surface. I cleaned the shower window thoroughly to avoid and imperfections once the film is applied. Once cleaned, mist the window slightly for a moisture layer for the application of the film. Peel the film away from the protective layer and carefully begin to apply starting on one side and work towards the opposite side of the window. I worked from top to bottom first making sure the placement of the film was good. Next using a shower squeegee I went over the film several times to push out any air pockets and excess moisture between the film and the window surface. Very easy install. Once installed, I have the look of a stained glass panel in my shower. The film now serves two purposes, 1. reducing the evening sun into the bathroom which keeps the heat from the sun down in the bathroom and 2. allowing an awesome glow of colors into my bathroom and shower. I definitely recommend decorative window film, but make sure you inspect your product before leaving the store or inspect the product upon delivery in case you need to exchange it due to damage such as creases and crinkles.
