A:  Hi Allan, Thank you for your question. The best blade for cutting fiber cement is Diablo part # D0704DH. Hope this helps.

A:  I have not tried it on cement siding but it would probably work well since it is a Carbide tipped 24 tooth saw blade!

A:  Will cut through it but will dull rather quickly and a lot of dust. Buy a special blade meant to cut through Hardie Board Cement siding.

Q:Ok to cut through occasional nail like those used for underlayment?

A:  Wood blade for wood and metal blade for metal with the circular saw... I would use a sawzall to cut thru wood with nails.... And if you try it with the circular saw, make sure to wear proper protective equipment like glasses, gloves, long sleeves and heavy denim... I accidentally cut through wire fencing that I was framing for a decorative look to my pool deck and in an instant, it hit part of that wire and ripped a small piece away and when it hit my face it burned my skin close to my eye... I learned the hard way...

A:  It's best if you don't cut ANY nails with your saw blade. I have an old "throw away" blade for situations where you might cut any nails or metal in general.

A:  Yes but it dulls the blade quicker than most blades

            by|May 4, 2023

A:  Will dull the carbide quickly but will cut through it. Be aware of the pieces of metal flying red hot. Wear eye protection as a minimum

A:  This blade is not made to cut metal, running into nails while cutting wood could damage the blade; generally it will knock off the carbide tips.

A:  I am not sure how thick the blade is, however, I mount two of these blades on my table saw to cut biscuit grooves quite often.
