Can I use it on a miter saw?
Asked by: JR07
This blade should work decently in a miter saw as long as the miter saw uses this size of blade. I have an older table saw that uses an 8 inch blade but I use these 7-1/4 blades in it regularly. These blades cut wood fairly smoothly for a decent finish.

The width profile prevented clogging and the battery life was extended due the blade not binding up. Used as cut off and cross cutting in newly cured deck boards with no issues.

I bought this for a new project but due to the poor quality of this blade, I had to finish the job with my old blade. So I would NOT advise anyone to get this or if you do, keep the receipt for the return.

I found this to be a most excellent product, exactly as advertised it does in fact have 18 teeth perfectly spaced teeth, unlike my uncle Walt who only has seven. The circular saw blade is exactly seven and one quarter inches in diameter, no metric conversion kit needed! Best of all however is the striking blue paint scheme which adds a professional look to any woodworking project whether utilizing solid frame lumber or plywood. It is truly inspirational and encourages the builder to rise up to meet the lofty expectations of a true craftsman.

A bargain-price and probably a useful item --- although I have not used it yet. I am looking at the package that I bought yesterday and it DOES NOT mention carbide anywhere. The other brands on the wall are correctly identified as carbide --- as appropriate. I wonder if this item truly has carbide cutting tips ??? (yes... I have verified the proper SKU number) ALSO --- the enlarged photo of the blade also does NOT mention carbide. This is puzzling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So far so good So far so good. I haven't had this product long enough to give it more than three stars. Those last two stars are only earned with the longevity of the product. It came out of the package with a sharp edge and has held up with all of my medium duty tasks. I would recommend it for the money.

It worked well with the first several sheets of plywood I cut but then dulled very quickly, forcing me to purchase a new blade just to finished the project I bought it for. This time I purchased a DEWALT carbide tipped blade. I will never purchase another Avanti blade.

The blade cuts fine, but it does splinter the wood still as if it were a dull blade. I’m thinking the old Ryobi doesn’t have enough RPM’s to prevent the splintering. I would recommend the blade though.
