This grill basket is a unique idea. It can be filled very full with anything of your choosing. We have used it for an array of veggies: asparagus, corn, carrots, and mushrooms all at once! Items on the inside of the cylinder are able to cook almost as well as those on the edges. It is easy to partially roll the basket to grill different portions but it may tilt on its own depending upon the weight distrubition of what is inside (or if the grill isn't level). My main complaint is that the handles make it look like they should be held to carry the basket but if you do so, the top handle will pop the lip open, spilling its contents....learned my lesson the first time. At least it snaps open easily with a twist of the tongs so you're not wrangling with a red hot piece of metal when you want your food. Bottom line, it grills small and large items well.

This grill basket is a great addition to my outdoor cooking implements: 1) It's well made and stainless steel ... it'll last a long time and, in theory, easy to clean 2) It'll hold a good volume ... with a cylinder of 5.75" X 10.5", it holds nearly a gallon of grilling goodies fully packed 3) Grill holes are well sized, do not let bite-sized pieces fall out, and allow the food to show grill marks ... plus it's not just for veggies 4) It has a 1-year customer full satisfaction guarantee 5) Latches are good and bad ... they're tight meaning no worries about accidental opening, but may cause issues for some when it's time to open after cooking I would recommend this product.

We like to grill especially during the warm days. It's greaat to do the whole meal on the grill including vegetables. This rolling basket makes that very easy. Those it in the basket and turn it easily on the grill. This is made of stainless steel and it is very sturdy and well made. It's very easy to clean. We have only used it a couple of times so far. We spray the interior with oil before each use as directed. It helps to clean it. We have had it open up during the turning process so you have to be careful you don't lose whatever is inside. We thought we overloaded it the first time but it also opened with the second not so loaded time. It gets very hot so use gloves or tongs to turn the basket. One of the main negatives for this basket is when I close my grill top, the basket will only fit in the very front of my grill unless I remove the upper shelve. I use that shelf often and don't want to remove it. It tends to not cooks as evenly in that very front space.

This feels like something we will have for years. It seems very sturdy and easy to use. It's winter to I can't wait for some warmer weather so we can use this. I was going to hold off and give it as a gift but it looks so cool I just have to use it first. Then I'll get another and give it to my son. He will just have to wait...lol. It's going to be great.

A cylindrical basket (made from 430 Stainless Steel), this product is intended to make the grilli...
A cylindrical basket (made from 430 Stainless Steel), this product is intended to make the grilling of vegetables and other small items easier and less messy, by containing them within the confines of the basket, and rolling it around to turn and mix the food contained within. The material used (430 Stainless Steel) is suitable for food contact and, although resistant to corrosion, does not have the nickel content of, for example, 304 Stainless Steel. This only requires that you do not store it away between uses without it being completely dry as any corrosion that forms will likely be in the small bends and folds (where the material is stressed during stamping and forming) and will be more difficult to remove than to prevent. The basket is a hinged “clam shell” in configuration with a latch on each half (a spring leaf which mates with a corresponding rectangular hole in the opposite half). The alignment was not precise (if the halves were slightly twisted upon closing the two halves of the basket become skewed) necessitating, at times, some finesse to align the “latches” to their respective openings. The latches are more of a friction fit, rather than a detent action which can result in inadvertent opening of the basket in use (more on that below). The manufacturer indicates that the item is “dishwasher safe” and it is, however, that does not necessarily mean that it will be fully cleaned after a dishwasher cycle. After use and cycling it through the dishwasher (lower level) a significant amount of scrubbing with a stainless scrub pad was necessary to remove the baked on residue. The basket is approximately 5.75 inches in diameter and 10.25 inches long (13.5 inches overall if you include the handles) To put it though its paces, I marinated a collection of vegetables (carrots, potatoes, brussel sprouts, 3 types of peppers and onions) along with some shrimps and mushrooms, coated the basket with a cooking spray and placed it on the preheated gas grill. Although all items were placed in the basket in the totally uncooked state, if your preference is for softer carrots, potatoes and brussel sprouts, pre-cooking these items prior to grilling may be necessary. Every two to three minutes, the basket was rotated 360 degrees and then brought back 270 degrees to ensure uniform opportunity for the contents to be exposed to the heat of the grill. The plan was to use a pair of grill tongs to rotate the basket (the basket/handles get extremely hot while on the grill…as is to be expected), however when gripping the handle on only one side with the tongs, the weight of the basket contents resulted in disengaging the two latches, allowing some of the contents to start to fall out of the basket. After re-securing the basket, it was reoriented axially across the width of the grill to permit accessing both handles (while using silicone gloves) to rotate the basket. This does result in having to reach across the hot grill to manipulate the basket. In conclusion, while the rolling basket can certainly be used in the manner advertised, one will have to make up their minds if the extra work is worth it (compared to a conventional open flat basket). Where it WILL be of use is for singular types of food which do not require too much grill time or are extremely difficult to keep on the grill either due to rolling of round items or a tendency of some foods (sliced calamari comes to mind) which tend to shrink and slip between the grill elements. Improving the latches would make it useful for heavier loading of vegetables.

Did not lose even one tiny smidge of vegetable, which is impressive. The grate holes are kind of small so you don’t truly see how everything is cooking-guessing lots of use and experience will help with that. Had to take it off and open it up a few times to see how it looked. Used frozen veggies this time, may have pulled it off the grill too early-scared of burning it and added a bit teriyaki to it. Tasted great but should have experimented more. I want to definitely try shrimp and scallops next but need to research how long to cook. Do not want to under or over cook seafood. Great round concept instead of those flat basket types. You do have to roll it around a lot to get everything cooked and use really good heat proof gloves as the metal gets very hot. Pushing it around with a tool is fine but opening it up you need two hands. Looking forward to experiment properly with this soon. Thought it would have a recipe or instruction booklet with it, but I did use my scan reader so hopefully I will find more helpful advice as well as interesting recipes??? Also cleaned up very easily.

I had a lot of fun trying out the dragon rolling grill basket. The cylinder shape allows you to fit a lot in the basket while not taking up a ton of room on the grill. I actually use welding gloves so I was able to easily grab the basket and rotate the food inside getting a nice even cook. The basket stays closed tight but is easy to open when you need to. My advise, don't mess with this without grilling gloves that you can grab this with. Also, it is hard to see your food through the open squares so no your cooking times. You can rely on sight as easily with this product.

Love this basket! It opens with two small pressure clips. The basket itself has small holes in it that allow for the flame to cook the vegetables or whatever you have in it. I tried it out with onions and mini bell peppers. It worked perfectly. And clean up was easy. I just let it soak in the sink with a little dish-soap while we had dinner and it cleaned up quick with the rest of the dishes afterward. The basket sits a top your grill and you just roll it. I used my tongs to move it around. To open it up though, you will need gloves since the metal will be hot. But that is about it. I have used small grill pans that have grates in the past, but with this basket, you really do just roll it around and it cooks itself! I like it! Perfect for mushrooms, asparagus, cut up onion, green onions, cherry peppers, etc. Dishwasher safe with dimensions of just under 6" in width by a little over 10" in length for the basket but with the handles about 13.5" total.

I love to grill vegetables and shrimp on my outdoor propane grill. I find it tedious to have to constantly turn each individual piece as I stick my hand over the hot fire. This cooking basket looked like just the trick. It is very well constructed with solid metal materials. It is a nice large size which allows me to put a lot of vegetables or some shrimp and scallops in the basket. It easily turns on the grill to rotate the cooking nsurface and though you need to spend it often it Cooks the vegetables very evenly. I find that it also takes up less space on the grill than a typical flat basket. Clean up was very easy and I look forward to cooking a lot more food items in the future.

Nothing I hate more when grilling veggies than to have them go through the grate. I love the idea of having the veggies contained in a cylinder that you can roll around to get the veggies evenly grilled. The holes are small so even green bean or snap peas won't escape. It closes with a pressure snap closure which came zip tie closed, so hopefully won't come open when turning. The package says can grill shrimp, so no more wooden skewers that burn, yay. Made of stainless steel, means easy to clean, and it has a beautiful finish, so you can put on a hot plate and serve from it. Can't wait for warmer weather.
