I used this on a table top that was correctly stripped of finish and sanded. The paint went on thickly, was difficult to keep a wet edge, and had little blebs of white gunk that I had to pick out as I moved to new areas. The edges of the table "alligatored" as it dried, even though in a room that was kept at low humidity and temperature controlled. When I get over the frustration, I'll sand down again and try to repaint with different brand. I would never use again--tried S-Wms oil paint later and completely different, smooth and no problems. Recommend you spend the extra cash and use their paints.

After spending nearly 26 hours in prep work, I had to redo the job because this paint stays soft to the touch weeks after painting. Behr produces some of the best paints in the market, so I'm baffled with this product. If your application calls for considerable handling like cabinet drawers, Behr has other paints that will dry hard to the touch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very sticky, hard to work with. Very sticky/tacky paint. Took over 24 hours to dry, I ended up using a dehumidifier to speed up the process. The paint overall was hard to work with. When using an oil paint, I'm looking for a product that glides on, there was no glide in this. In fact, at times it felt like I was working with glue, making coverage difficult. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, Smooth Finish & Great coverage I have used this all over my house on trim and doors. It has great leveling ability and wonderful coverage and a rock hard finish. Compared to water based paint there's no comparison when it comes to painting trim and doors. I would say this is more of a high gloss finish rather than semi-gloss, but it still works great because it ends up so smooth.

I used this paint on both of my front door and back door one is medal and one is wood. It takes along time to dry but it is oil. both doors look great and it took very little paint. I used a box fan to help it dry. It is great paint. I would use again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Takes forever to cure I have used Behr exterior latex to paint my entire home in the past and it was one of the best paints I ever used. However, for interior trim I wanted the hard enamel finish I feel only an oil base paint can provide. I was painting kitchen cabinets. I realize they say "do not use on horizontal surfaces". I did take the doors down and paint them on a bench. But the paint will not "cure". I say that as the outside coating will "dry" (skin over) within 24 hours. However, even weeks later you can still press on the painted surface and leave a finger print or even a dent in the paint. A week. Two weeks. Even three weeks later. It is as though the outside surface dries quickly and seals the oils underneath from being able to "evaporate" and fully cure. If I barely brushed on a coat of paint which I tried thinning, and I dried the doors in a hot (almost 80 degrees from an external heater), I could get the doors to cure within a week. But any coat thicker than the thinnest coat, or just a normal environment (70 degree home), I could not get the paint to solidly cure.
