Q:Can this be used on concrete landscape curbing/edging?
by|Nov 10, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Hi there, thanks for the question. I wouldn't recommend using Stucco, Masonry & Brick Paint for landscape curbing or edging. The areas of the edging that come into constant contact with the soil and water could cause the coating to deteriorate prematurely. Also, the coating isn't recommended to be used in areas that could be walked on. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:will this paint work well on my kitchen walls

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Randy, thank you for your question. If you have brick walls in your kitchen, you can use the Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint. If you're painting drywall, then it will be best to use an interior paint such as our Ultra Scuff Defense Interior Paint. Have a great day! -Giovanna

Q:Can I thin this paint for sprayer

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi RENTALS, thanks for your question. As it turns out, we don't recommend thinning out our Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint. Instead, you can use it at it's current consistency with an airless sprayer and a .015-.021 sprayer tip. Have a great day! -Christina

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Demitch256, thank you for your question. It sounds like you may be thinking of applying our Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint to the entrance floor of your shed. If that is the case, we do not recommend using this paint as it is not designed to withstand foot traffic. Alternatively, you can use our Solid Color Concrete Stain. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina

Little expensive but easy to apply and color change depending of light with a particular tonality.

                White concrete block pier
I just finished building a concrete block pier for my telescope and I wanted a good seal to keep moisture from penetrating the blocks so I chose the Behr masonry paint in white which will help keep the pier from absorbing too much heat on a sunny day. I think this is going to work very well.

                great coverage
we picked this paint to give new life to a tired old fire place. thick enough to cover great. use a rough surface roller and a good brush... not the cheapest and not the best ( Purdy, Wooster Pro ) because you will be throwing it away when your done.

                  Bubbling mess
I was told by HD that this paint was better for stucco than the Behr ultra and decided to try it. What a mistake as it seems to be poor quality paint that bubbles in the can and on the wall. I would switch to a higher quality paint but already painted the front of my house. I am not sure what to do? I also am surprised by the poor quality control on labeling as the helpline number on the can was incorrect and missing 4 digits. If Behr can’t get the label right how are they going to get the paint right? Please don’t buy.

                  Response from BehrJun 29, 2021
Hi Sarah, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the bubbles on your stucco. This is not normal, and I understand your disappointment. The paint is self-priming and designed for stucco, so it is hard to pinpoint exactly what caused the bubbles. I recommend scrapping or sanding the bubbles off, cleaning the surface, and touching up or recoating as needed. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly for further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Giovanna Behr

Hello PEGGY, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry the color turned out more gray than green. I recommend recoating your project in a new color that is closer to what you are looking for and testing it in a small area first to ensure it looks just right on your project.
