Awesome Product
OK, I am not a paint professional by any means but I do enjoy painting projects.. I love the instant gratification of a wall changing color or trim getting a refresh! That being said, this is NOT your standard wall paint... You need patience for sure and do not take short cuts. I sanded down stained kitchen cabinets, cleaned thoroughly with Dawn dish soap and hot water and let completely dry... then primed with a thin coat of Behr kitchen and bath primer.. let that dry for a day or 2. Then I sanded the primed surface down with 400 grit and wiped own again..let er dry. Painting time! Do not goop this stuff on... several thin coats will set you up for success! I used a 2.5" good nylon brush for everything. First coat let dry over night, sand with 400 grit, wipe, paint, dry overnight.. repeat 1 more time. The paint will be tacky to the touch but like the Behr reps say.. if you sand and wipe down, it goes away. I painted everything inside.. AC set to 74. The odor is not bad at all just different from standard interior plaint. 7 cabinets will take a week but will turn out beautifully. After a few days, paints begins to harden like enamel. I can not emphasize enough about the steps needed to get the results we all want with painting cabs.. take a few deep breaths, throw on some good tunes and maybe a nice glass of red and have at it!! Hope this helps and good luck!

Still Tacky after 48 hours and HORRIBLE leveling
I do not understand--I do not understand! I primed, and waited over 10 hours between coats. The finish is HORRIBLE. I used a high density foam roller specifically for cabinets and it is just downright awful. Highly textured on everything. You really can't paint too heavily with a foam roller--so the coats were very thin. I have new cabinets, never painted before. I used KILZ oil-based primer and the finish is still tacky after 48 hours. I tried to sand it down with an orbital sander and it's leaving paint in globs on the sandpaper. I have always used Behr paint, but this is just awful!!! Awful!!!

    Response from BehrJun 18, 2020
Hi Adriane - I'm sorry to hear about the tacky and textured finish on your cabinets! To ensure a smooth finish, we recommend applying this product with a high-quality synthetic brush, 1/4"-3/8" nap roller or an airless sprayer with a .013"-.017" spray tip. This paint should also feel dry to the touch after 2 hours of dry time, and will come to a full cure after 7 days. To fix the finish, we recommend allowing additional dry time before sanding the unwanted texture off the surface, wiping the area down to remove the sanding dust, then applying a new coat. You may also want to set up fans and open windows/doors to increase the air flow around your cabinets to help speed up the drying process. For further assistance with this, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We' be happy to help. - Sara Behr
      Only needed one coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Painted fascia, gutter, and downspouts. After pressure washing home, these areas still had black streaks and still looked dirty. Behr paint covered in one coat. Brushed on very easily in no time. Took no time to dry. If it would have been needed, I could have applied second coat easily. The house looks fantastic and I am completely satisfied. This was no surprise to me, as I discovered Behr paint decades ago, and I only use Behr paint since. Paint is super durable, easy to clean and stays vibrant as the day you paint with it. Have used Behr interior, exterior, masonry, deck paint. My house is beautiful using this paint and will never use anything else, but Behr paint products. Thank you Behr paint

        Love this paint!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was getting tired of the lack of durability and layers of products required for chalk painting. I gave this product a go on My dining table and can’t speak highly enough of it. Occasionally cutlery or pkate may leave a grey mark etc ( silly me chose white!) But with a pea size amount of Vim it’s gone and the table looks as good as new. Goodbye chalk and mineral paint!

                Cabinet perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last year during winter. My wife said paint the Oak woodgrain china cabinet off white to match the new Dinning room table. Used a sanding sealer to fill grain marks and put a thin coat of primer, then a thin coat of Urethane alkyd matching color then another thin coat on top of those. I looks great and is smooth as formica cabinet top and durable enough to handle my size 15 shoe scuffs. She is happy.
