Can I use this product on a wood pool deck?

Asked by: Karen
Hi Karen, Thanks for your interest in our products! It is not recommended to apply our Masonry, Stucco, and Brick Pain on wood surfaces. This product was made for concrete and masonry surfaces, and may not adhere correctly, causing issues in the future. If you'd like, feel free to reach out to our Customer Care Department for recommendations for your project. I hope this was informative, and best of luck with your project - Vince

Can I use this on a fireplace?

The fireplace is from the 1970's and is dark red brick with black mortor. It has never been painted. Would I need to use a primer first, or will this product do both?

1 gal. White Flat Masonry, Stucco and Brick Interior/Exterior Paint is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Masonry and stucco paint on brown stone I live in the north east where some town houses are brownstone. The front of my house is all brown stone and was painted more than 20 years ago a few shades of what I'd call a greenish gray. I was able to match this paint to paint the stoop and touch up a few areas. The match is great. The paint covered very well. No problems there. The back of the house is mostly brick. The sills are brownstone. Since the sills have been painted before as well as badly stained and patched with cement I felt the best thing to do would be to just paint it the stones color. A sort of reddish brown. Goes nicely with the red brick. The problem... Even though the value is about the same as the color used on the front I can't get the masonry paint in this dark a color. Must have something to do with the red hue. Hey Behr... How about a deep base in masonry paint for us people who live in brownstones and want brownstone brown paint. Other than that I love Behr products and use them all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are repairing and repainting our pergola at our home.... We are repairing and repainting our pergola at our home. We just purchased the home last month and were told that nothing had been done for 12 years. It has been, and still is, a laborious, time-consuming job, but what is already finished looks great. The color we repainted it is an approved color by our HOA. The Behr paint is doing a great job even though it takes 2, and sometimes 3, coats in places because it has been so neglected and the wood is very dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this paint I was updating a 1970's den with an entire brick wall around the fireplace. I bought this paint to transform the original orange bricks. I chose a medium blue/grey color. Sorry I don't remember the color name. This paint covered beautifully with one coat. It went on smooth and flawlessly. I am very pleased with the results. I have used many other paints with less then stellar results. I will only buy the Behr brand of paints now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color failure !!! I live in Prescott Valley AZ and applied this product to a stucco retaining wall attached to the back of our home. Had it color matched to the color of the house and when applied matched very well. 2years later the color has faded and now has a pinkish cast to it and no longer matches the color of our home. Bummed out!!! Read a similar complaint on another website and the home was also in Arizona.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from outdoor "Stepping Stones" I was painting masonary stepping stones and choose what I hoped would be the perfect product for the job. Unfortunately it was not. It is four months later and the paint is flaking off. I followed the directions exactly as I do most of my projucts myself so I know what I am doing, but still and always read the directions. I was very dissappointed in the paint but will still buy Behr.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best!!! I recently bought this paint again to do the foundation of my house. I used Behr before and it's been 8 years since. Yes 8 years!!! I re painted it and when I had an inspector come to my house he thought it was brand new. This paint is high quality and reasonably priced. I will not use another brand but Behr. Thank you for a great product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Behr Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint is the best. Best exterior paint for stucco regardless of price point. There are much more expensive paints out there. Behr Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint is simply the best, easy to apply, smooth and long lasting. Don't waste your hard earned money on expensive paint. Behr is the best period.
