DO NOT BUY!!! I had a small amount of paint left over from a gallon and bought this can to take...
DO NOT BUY!!!
I had a small amount of paint left over from a gallon and bought this can to take up less room in a cabinet. Less than two weeks later, needed a small touch-up and was shocked after opening this can to find that the lip had already rusted.

good for short term
It will rust and it will dry your paint after a few years. I used it to keep extra touch up paint for the house. It was rusted with tuny hiles and white stuff over the can. so bad I had to cut the can open. Used an empty Nutella jar instread.

It is a fine paint bucket, probably the best one...
It is a fine paint bucket, probably the best one can buy, but I did a 'pick-up' at the store and failed to notice that this particular paint bucket had no lid, and doesn't still.

Useful
I've used several of these in recent years to store leftover paint from larger containers for touch-up or color matching in the future. I store all my paint indoors so they last much longer, but space is at a premium. So these come in handy. It is true that these container sides are weaker than a normal quart container, like Behr, for example. I wish they were the sturdier, standard quality but are still usable and useful for me. I do not know yet how they will hold up in terms of drying out or container rust but these things will happen with all paint cans eventually. My Behr containers do this too over time. To mitigate that I keep paint swatch and color details so i can get a new batch if necessary. Although even that failed me once when Behr changed computer color formulas and couldn't use the old one or successfully color match my sample. Anyway, I like these and plan on continuing to use but the softer sides are a concern and I hope they can hold up over time.
