[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this to paint a banquette dining bench we built. It was the perfect paint for that. It dried nicely, and is very easy to clean smudges and stains off
I have no idea if professionals would have the problems I have- but this has been the worst painting experiences of my 45 yrs of average home owner painting. This paint is runny thin, smears on and I'm currently on coat 3 and will have to do at the very least a 4th coat. I am painting an outside door. I primed as directed with 2 coats. This paint is taking 24 hours to dry.. and its still tacky. I've sanded in between coats as directed as well. I cant believe how this just smears on, how it is sticky and doesnt seem to dry well and most of all how many coats its taking. (
I may be using the wrong terms here- but just fair warning.. If you're just an average or above average home painter--- run away from this product.

Thank you for reviewing Behr Urethane Alkyd Semi-Gloss Enamel. I'm very sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced, as it's not typical for the paint to perform like that. I understand how disappointing this must be, and I want to help.
A small test area can be cleaned with warm soapy water (dish soap is okay) to help remove the tacky top layer. If that helps, you can proceed with cleaning the rest of the surface. In the worst-case scenario where the paint doesn't dry after a month's dry time, the surface should be stripped, cleaned, and recoated.
I emailed you directly to follow up and I look forward to assisting you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when ever I'm going over old oil based finish I use this. You can't use water based paint over old oil it won't adhere but this urethane alkyd will stick beautifully. it also works great flows out with minimal sagging or runs and dries to to smooth glossy finish even when you brush or roll it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of my door trims and baseboards chipping and looking rough. So I went with the Alkyd for durability and cleanability. It works like a dream, good flow, few brush marks when using the proper type of brush recommended, very smooth finished surface. The finished product looks great, and only time will tell on the durability, but I am very happy- Dry time is pretty great as well, depending on the weather, it was actually a bit shorter than the product instructions would indicate.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a couple of weeks ago and painted trim in my house. Spread smooth and evenly and provided great coverage. After 2nd coat the trim looked brand new !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try the urethane enamel. I've used it a dozen times on various surfaces, walls, ceilings, kitchen cabinets, trim, doors, etc. I'm very impressed with the ease of application, the coverage and drying time. Definitely recommend it for surfaces that you want durability on.
