- Use a high quality 3/8" - 1/2” nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or an airless sprayer (.015" - .019” spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
- Use BEHR MARQUEE paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. For heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR MARQUEE as a topcoat to a small section; if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating.
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90° F (10-32° C). Longer dry time may be required in cooler temperatures and higher humidity

Lots of clumps and long gooey stuff from a fresh 5 gallon container. Goopy stuff was all thru it, you can see it as it pours out of the container. What's up with this. Just purchased and mixed about a week ago.

If I'm painting over a red or blue wall do I need to prime it first or will two coats of Pure White cover?
Hi James, thank you for your question. Our Behr Marquee Ultra Pure White is self-priming. Since it is not a one coat hide color, the first coat will act as a base coat, followed by an additional coat to cover. I want to buy a paint pump but dont know what the measurement of the hole is on the lid. Is it 1 3/8"?

This can says 1 coat. The specs says 2 coats. I don't get it. Sounds like false advertising of 1 coat since specs. area says 2. Is this false advertising? If so who else wants to join the class action lawsuit?

However, if applied to a bare surface or used with a color outside this collection, an additional coat may be needed for full coverage.
