- Use BEHR MARQUEE paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. For heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR MARQUEE as a topcoat to a small section; if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating.

Can this paint really just need 1 coat for a wood 6-panel door? Or is priming still needed first?
Hi there, thank you for your question. The Marquee Paint is self-priming and it does not require a separate primer, unless you're covering tough stains. Do I use exterior or interior Behr Marquee paint for sheetrock walls in a screened porch that is sun explosed and walls get some moisture from rain occasionally. I would like mildew/mold resistant and semi-gloss.

Should I thin Marquee ultra pure white semi gloss when using a VONFORN 700W paint sprayer with a 1mm tip?
Hi Mark, thanks for the question. When spraying our Marquee Interior Paint, it's recommended to use an airless sprayer with a .015" - .019" spray tip. If the paint is having difficulty spraying, you can add up to 8 ounces of water per gallon. It isn't recommended to use an HVLP Sprayer with our products because they are too thick for the sprayers to accept, even with thinning. I would like to use Marquee Semigloss with a Graco X7 sprayer to paint interior doors and trim. Can I use a Graco FFLP 310 spray tip to get a fine finish with this paint?
