Plan on spending double the time to paint a room
When I started painting I noticed what appeared to be little pieces of solid paint. Every time I used the roller it would put these little pieces on the wall so I’d have to stop and remove them.

Hello KimG, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry there were pieces of solid paint that were getting on your wall. If there are any pieces still on the wall, I recommend letting the paint dry for at least 24 hours, gently sanding smooth the pieces, wiping off any sanding dust, then touching up and recoating where needed. Also, I recommend stirring the paint for 5 minutes in the container to see if it goes back to a creamy consistency. If not, it’s best to use a new container for your project. DO NOT USE FOR CABINETS
This paint will stick to anything you put on top of it for WEEKS after. We did 3 coats, let the final one dry for over 24 hours, and then put our cabinet shelves back. Everything stuck (see pics) and we had to do 2 more coats.

Hello FakeNameRealReview, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry the paint was sticking to everything even after a few weeks. If any paint is loose or peeling up, I recommend sanding the loose paint off, wiping the sanding dust, then touching up and recoating with the paint. Also, I recommend allowing the paint to fully cure for 4 weeks before placing items on the shelves, as the coating may be sensitive until it’s fully cured. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance with this. Hi NeveragainDynasty - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint was clumping and pulling up during application! To fix the finish, I recommend allowing your last coat to dry for at least 24 hours before lightly sanding off any unwanted texture from the surface. Once the clumps are sanded off and the surface is wiped down, a new coat can be applied for a uniform finish. If the paint seems to be drying too fast as you're rolling it on, 4 oz. of water per gallon can be added to slow down the dry time. For further assistance with your project, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We'd be happy to help. - Sara Behr

            NOT a one coat guarantee!
This is an overpriced paint! Supposedly it’s a one coat guarantee and it’s supposed to be able to withstand cleaning. I wiped up a scuff and the paint came off on my rag. The paint had been placed a week before. It also is not a one coat guarantee. I painted over a white with a slight blue hue and it required three coats.

Hi L Martinez - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you needed to apply 3 coats for full coverage and the paint came off when you cleaned the surface. Our Marquee paint line was designed to cover your previously painted or primed surfaces when tinted to a color from our One-Coat Color palette. Once fully cured (this takes 4 weeks), it can be easily wiped down to maintain a clean finish. For further assistance with your project, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We'd be happy to help. - Sara Behr

Paint and primer takes 4 coats to apply
I standard whisper white has taken 4 coats to cover a fairly light colour that pre existed on my walls. The paint is extremely thick and streaky. I wish I haven’t mad never started with this paint. It shouldn’t be this hard.

Did they put all primer and no paint! Should be ashamed!
I have using BEHR paint for over 20+ years on several homes I have owned. I tried this paint on a fiberglass door and all vertical pillars and top pediment, as advised from their paint dept. This paint is the worst! I cleaned and prepped surface as advised and applied at 66 degrees F and light wind (5 to 8 MPH) and sunny morning on 09-19-2021. Put on (1) coating and look very poor, like watered down milk. I used a drill to mix every 5 minutes during painting. Waited (2) hours as noted on the quart and re-applied, still looked poor and said no possible way. I waited another 2 hours and applied coat number (3)! Even after (3) coats with this paint and primer on a white door/trim, you can still see brush marks use a high quality 2” $20+ brush made for this paint. Home Depot response when I brought the 40% used paint back to home depot (next day for a refund) and the customer service lady said talk to the paint dept. I talked to the young lady at the counter and said stated, “if the paint was bad why did you use almost half over it”. I kindly said I followed the directions and even tried more than advised to see if it was me; but, (3) coats and looks like dollar store paint! She replies, “we do not except returns on paint”. I said it is not custom paint (off the shelf) and there is a guarantee on it and here is my receipt. She said no. What customer service! I advised the young lady toss it in the trash since that is what it is. Do not know what home depot did but there paint is poor along with their customer service

Hello bernie, thank you for your review and for being such a longtime Behr customer. I’m so sorry the paint looked watered down and you could still see brush marks after 3 coats. I recommend letting the paint dry for 24 hours, sanding smooth any texture the brush marks may have left, cleaning the surface and letting it dry, then touching up and recoating with paint using a high-quality nylon/polyester brush. Since the paint was still watery after mixing for 5 minutes, I recommend using a new container of paint to recoat. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Without a doubt, the worst paint I've ever used.
A little background. I'm a retired contractor and I've been painting 50 years. I had this paint stirred at the store and started using it within an hour of purchase. I am painting the outer portion of Jeld-Wen window also purchased from HD. The window is factory primed. I cleaned the surfaces with mild detergent, let it dry, and applied the first coat. The coverage was terrible. Streaky, with very poor coverage for a paint with "primer" built in. After allowing it to dry for about an hour, I applied a second coat. Still poor coverage. It looks like it's going to take at least 4 coats to get sufficient coverage to resist Maryland weather. Whatever is left will be returned under the satisfaction guarantee. I was painting in a temperature controlled garage.

I purchase this at HD as it was recommended from the paint expert for my kitchen cabinet makeover. I applied this to my pre-primed trim and when handling (nailing/caulking/ positioning) a lot of areas chipped. DO NOT PURCHASE.

                        Worst paint ever!
I had new pine wood trim installed around new Andersen doors and windows. I applied a primer coat. This is the worst paint I have ever used in 50 years. Hard to apply, does not cover or spread well and leaves brush lines even though I used a very high-quality, name-brand brush. It essentially ruined my entire project.

If your trying to eliminate a 2nd coat, this is not you paint.
Purchase this paint to eliminate a 2nd coat of paint as the Dynasty brand should take only one coat to cover. Home depot said it, BEHR has said it, I just recently saw a commercial stating the same. So I ditch out the extra cash for a "higher end" paint. Well this will not do what it claims it will, I still had to apply a second coat to my walls. Being that the case I should have just gone with the mid grade paint instead of the more expensive one. DO NOT buy this paint thinking you will only need one coat of paint.

Prepped the walls with one coat of Kilz 2 primer to seal and hide the old paint color and its still going to take multiple coats of Behr Premium Plus to hide the shadows. This is possibly the worst paint I’ve ever used. The photo shows a wall after the first coat of ultra white.

BEHR DYNASTY Ultra Pure White interior
BEHR DYNASTY Ultra Pure White interior stain blocking paint and primer in a Matte finish. I choose this paint because I’ve used BEHR products before and was very happy with the results. Again I love the matte finish and the fact that this paint is one of the best yet I’ve used from BEHR. The paint has an exceptionally durable finish that holds up against stains….it’s scuff resistant, fast drying and great coverage. However for this yellow shelf it did take two coats….though the finished product looks outstanding. Clean up is a breeze…just some warm water and a little soap and we were done. This is to me one of best paints on the market…yeah you may pay a little more for it but the results are amazing. You get about 400 square foot of coverage from one gal. Depending on the area it takes less than an hour to dry. It’s a really good paint so they recommend using a high quality 3/8 inch nap roller for the best results. The paint is also by UL green guard gold…..which simply means the product is certified for low chemical emissions. I also like that the new BEHR cans open easier and come with a screw on easy pour spout..to me as a painter is a plus no more waste.

High hide option that brightens up dull rooms
BEHR's Dynasty is making me a Behr believer! Exceptional results all around with this paint and primer mix. I got the flat/matte for the ceilings in our new home, which were formerly covered in popcorn coating. We needed something that would go on after the scraping to bring the surface back to top condition. We also wanted something that was very pure white to allow for as much light as possible to move around the room. The Dynasty version we got has a lot of white pigmentation to cover well. We did the walls in a rich blue, and touched the ceiling with the roller. I've attached a pic where we did a spot coverup with Dynasty ceiling paint along a few inches of the ceiling. Covered easily. The paint rolls on smooth and is easy to apply with a brush. The can comes with a pour spout that I've attached a pic of. You can also use only the pour spout's opening if you want. This is the only area where I would have liked to see a little something more from the product: Having a pour spout that has a cap integrated so that the spout itself does not have to be removed and washed at the end of the job. Do like the flexibility of having both a cover and a spout, though. The cover-only storage allows the cans to be stacked. Easy cleanup with no residue on brushes or rollers. 1 gallon covers about 400 square feet, so two ceilings that run 20' x 20', or ceilings in four small spaces of 10' x 10'. Low chemical emissions for indoor application

This Behr paint is the only paint I buy. Best colors. Easy application and last forever.

                                      Top of the line paint
Paint was delivered to my house, but I had to run to the store for the pour spout (The lid pries up like traditional paint cans, but has a pour spout option too). Actually you might want to get this from the Home Depot store the first time you buy and have someone at the paint counter show you how to open it (or play the video on the product page). The spout option does make pouring a bit neater. Anyway, I wanted a high quality paint for inside the garage. BEHR Dynasty is the BEHR brand’s top of the line. The product is labeled stain-block and primer and my garage hadn’t been painted before. The paint has a nice consistency, doesn’t have a noticeable odor, was easy to apply, and most importantly provided good coverage. Cleanup was as expected for latex paint. Warranty is lifetime limited as long as you follow all the rules on the can. I like this product well enough that I’ve ordered another gallon.

CLASSROOM MAKEOVER!!! The paint went on with ease. I painted my classroom which is all brick (all 4 walls). The paint went into the crevices without much back & forth motion. The color totally brightened up the walls. The paint was really easy to clean up where I dripped , even the next day. Not much of an order. Yes, teachers do pay for their own supplies. Met my overall expectation.
