Q:Should I use Ultra or Marquee to paint the stucco exterior of my house in South Florida and what are the benefits and longevity of each of the two? I see there is a $50 difference for a 5-gallon bucket.

A:  Hi Jeff, thanks for the question. Although both products are a great choice, the Marquee Paint does have superior fade and dirt resistance over the Ultra Paint. Good luck with painting your home. -Ronald

Q:Can I use this specific paint type for aluminum siding

    Answer This Question

A:  Hi Devon, thanks for the question. Our Marquee Exterior Paint is a great choice for aluminum siding. If the siding is smooth and glossy, it would need to be scuff-sanded first to help with the adhesion of the paint. Have a great day! -Ronald

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Scott, thank you for your questions. While our Marquee Paint can be applied to fiberglass trim so long as you prime the surface with our Behr Bonding Primer #432 beforehand, our products are not designed for boats. It may be best to reach out to your local Home Depot for more information about a marine-based coating. Have a great day! -Lina

          Pretty good paint I think
Okay paint so far, time will really tell. Very expensive, but when you need that little bit of extra longevity, I guess it can be worth the extra expense to save time and money in the future.

          1-gallon can failure
These new 1-gallon plastic containers don't have a good seal, and the paint immediately starts to form a film inside the can, which comes out in clumps and lumps, especially in the bottom half of the can. As you paint, you have to remove dried clumps, which is really frustrating. The "easy to use lid and pour spout" is supposed to help you pour more neatly, but air still gets in around the edges. For more than $60, I would expect a decent can to store the paint in.

Hi Nathan, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the clumps and lumps in the container you used. To fix this, I recommend stirring the paint for 5-7 minutes to resolve the clumps. And if there are dried clumps on your project, you can sand these smooth, clean off the sanding dust, and touch up if needed. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, so feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance. They are always happy to help. Enjoy the rest of your day. -Christina Behr

Home Depot should be ashamed for selling junk ! Should have googled it first, I would have seen all the lawsuits over it ! Should be pulled off the shelf

Behr Marquee Satin in Pencil Point is beautiful!
We used this paint in our dining room and are in love with the result. It softly reflects light, it's rich, it's durable and it looks fabulous against gold frames with art. From a contractor: Hands down one of the best exterior paints available JeffsPaintingElmhurst
This paint covers real well. Even the light colors never more than 2 coats needed. Benjamin Moore Moorguard is comparable, almost twice the cost. I hate the plastic cans though - they do not reseal and there’s money down the drain.

                Worst paint I've ever used
Bought this paint as it is advertised as their best product and covers in one coat. I spent days preping my room for painting for this paint to ruin the wall in 3 minutes. I cut in the corners and ceiling with a brush and proceeded to roll the wall only for all the paint to clump together and create a mess on the wall. The paint drys so quickly that you don't even have time to put more paint on the roller before it begins to stick and pull it off the wall. I would not recommend this to anyone.

This is not the experience we want for our customers, and I understand your disappointment. To slow down the dry time, you are able to add 4 oz. of water per gallon. Expensive and garbage
Painted my garage door with this. It dries so fast. Looks good and then it dries on the project it leaves brush and roller marks everywhere. Also you will need 2 coats even if you prime. Brushed my first coat and it you could see every time the brush was picked up. Paid a good amount of money for a gallon of paint, regret buying this paint.
