I use premium plus satin for the inside of my rentals. I only use the white base over existing paint so can't comment on other bases' coverage. the white base covers in one coat regardless of existing color in my experience, but I use Subtle Touch and other light grays so can't comment on other colors. the only downside is low viscosity so runs are easy to get. I've seen 10 yr old paint still have the satin gloss with slight fading. cant beat the price.

Not worth the extra money
Painted a white door that wasn't bright white and now having to paint a 3RD coat so it looks even. Halfway through, the brush thickened and was like painting with Elmer's glue. Took lots of extra strokes to make it even and most of the day to paint one door. Rated a 3 because I really like the bright white color.

Used Behr dynasty for a ceiling and walls. Used pure white, eggshell over light cream. The ceiling was challenging due to the peaks. I chose this paint as it was recommended by store clerk. One coat of Dynasty is all that is needed. After painting 2 coats, I can still see the old paint. I am a behr paint lover and its the only brand I use. However would not recommend paying up for this.

Hi Chris, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you're not getting good coverage. Our Dynasty paint should cover in one coat when tinted to one of the one-coat colors and applied over a previously painted surface. Dynasty is Neither a Paint Nor Primer
I sanded, primed, and did 3 coats sanding between each. Even sanding smooth I couldn’t roll over it twice without pulling; there was large clots in the paint can; it is Paint and Primer but even using an additional actual primer it hasn’t covered the original color. Be sure to pour out the minimum amount in your tray before starting because it WILL dry before you can use an average amount for other paints. $60 thrown on paint + cost of supplies + new double entry doors. Thanks Behr!

Hi LizBeth - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the clots in the paint can, lack of coverage, and how the paint is drying too fast! Our Dynasty paint line should have a smooth and creamy consistency once it's been stirred for a few minutes before use, and will cover your previously painted or primed surfaces in one coat when tinted to a One-Coat Color. If stirring the paint doesn't break up the clots, I recommend continuing your project with a new can. Up to 4 oz. of water per gallon can also be added to your paint before you recoat which will help slow down the dry time. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can assist you with this further. We hope to hear from you soon! - Sara

Benjamin Moore vs. Marquee
for the past few years i've used almost exclusively benjamin moore regal select for my paint projects. this is based on my own experience as well as info from professional painters (which i am not). I had some newly installed molding (primed pine) to paint around the house but my local benjamin moore store was closed so i picked up a gallon of the ultra white marquee semi-gloss. End result is fantastic. the paint is easy to apply and really bright - makes the trim pop. Bottom line: you get comparable results but Marquee is cheaper than regal select.

The worse paint ever!
I'm so disappointed with this paint. I should have read the reviews before I decided to try this terrible paint. I'm a craftsman and I hand crafted an Adirondack chair and then I primed it. I let the primer dry for a few days and then painted the chair with the Marquee semi gloss paint using a good quality roller. No matter how I applied this paint it didn't cover and I could see the white primer through the paint. After 3 days of waiting for it to dry it remained sticky. We can't even sit in the chair in fear of sticking to the paint. I feel I have just paid for paint that ruined my beautifully hand crafted Adirondack Chair. There is something drastically wrong with this paint. It's going to need a 2nd coat because the fist coat is so thin you can see through it. I'm so upset!

Hello Anthony, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with the Marquee paint you used; that's not the experience we want our customers to have with our products. Our Marquee paint should cover in one coat when applied to a previously coated surface, and is tinted to any color in the Marquee One Coat Collection palette. Colors outside the palette, and the untinted Ultra Pure White may require additional coats to provide you your desired coverage. To get your project back on track, we'd suggest increasing the ventilation in the space the chair is located and allowing it to dry longer. A recoat may be needed to uniform your color once the chair has dried a bit longer. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for assistance, or if you have any questions. They are always happy to help. Have a great rest of your day. –Joanna

Worst paint on earth
I prepped my previously-painted surfaces (sanding, tsp) before using this horrid paint, which has turned me into the kind of person who takes the time out of her day to leave a review on PAINT. It was watery and didn’t cover properly—like painting on cellophane. It ran and left uncovered patches everywhere. I thought at first it was my surface but I tested a Sherwin Williams paint on the same wall and it went on fine. Never using Behr again. Photo shows white Behr on top and blue SW on bottom.

Hi CamCHS - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint seemed so watery and left a patchy finish! Our Marquee paint should have a very creamy consistency and will cover your previously painted or primed surfaces in or coat when tinted to a color from our One-Coat Color Collection. If the paint still seems watery and transparent after stirring it for a few minutes, it's best to continue your project with a new can. We'd like to help you with this further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly. We look forward to hearing from you! - Sara
