Separate orders of this stain came in different tones. 3rd order was the color actually advertised.
Colors didn't match. We made the rookie mistake of not buying enough, so upon ordering a 2nd and 3rd supply, each set we got were different colors. Our fence is now multicolored. 6 feet of our 54 foot fence is the ACTUAL color we wanted. Majority was not as advertised.

Excellent Product & Fantastic Results
I purchased this product and absolutely loved the results! Before using, I prepared the deck with the Behr Cleaner, washed and let dry for 7 days. The stain was very easy to work with and to apply to the deck. For the application, I used a Wagner sprayer which saved a large amount of time. Followed the instructions which required 2 coats and it was done in one day. Once it was dry, the look was amazing; totally transformed the deck appearance.

    Read The Instructions
I decided to stain a 16 x 16 deck this year. I did not read the instructions before I started painting halfway through I started to see lap marks. I went back to read the instructions and realize I needed to do one plank at a time from one end to the other to prevent lap marks. Before I realize that I bought a sprayer that also failed end up using a roller from one into the other and by that time it was too late. At the end of the season I will redo the deck and I will paint from one end to the other end and maybe it will help me get rid of some of the lamp marks. I do recommend this paint it is a very rich color but read the instructions first.

Hi Mterrence5, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the coating did not hold up. This is not the experience we want for our customers, and I understand your disappointment. I recommend removing the failing coating, cleaning the surface with the All-In-One Wood Cleaner No. 63, allowing the surface to dry and applying two coats at the recommended spread rate. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our customer care team is happy to help you! -Giovanna Behr

      The worst....beware
I applied a year after installing my deck to allow the wood to dry thoroughly. I cleaned the deck with the recommended cleaner, rinsed well and allowed to dry for 3 days after rinsing. First the application is a bit of a pain in trying to get an even coat. The biggest issue though is that one year later the peeling and flaking is bad enough that I have to strip it and start over.

Hi Michal, thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that our Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Exterior Wood Stain is peeling off of your deck and that it was hard to apply. This is not typical, and I can understand your disappointment. To fix the issue I recommend removing the stain by sanding, power washing at a low level, or using a stain finish stripper. Then clean the surface with the All-In-One Wood Cleaner and let it dry, then apply 2 coats of stain per the label directions. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Ronald Behr

        Read before you purchase
I let my new deck season over the winter and sanded the whole thing before I put this product down in the spring. After just two summers, the deck is peeling. The wood underneath wasnt penetrated at all. I'm stuck now with either having to reapply every summer or two or sanding the entire deck and using a different product. I don't believe I'm alone with this issue. If youre looking to stain a new deck, go with an oil based stain or sealer. This paint will not last.
