Questions & Answers

Is a primer required for this product?

Hello Jim, We appreciate your question. This paint does require a bonding primer like our No. 880 if the surface is bare concrete or if there are any bare concrete spots on the project area. This helps the paint to adhere, but if there's an existing coating that's intact with no exposed concrete, then you would just clean and then paint. Well wishes for your project!

Hi UncleChuck, Thank you for your questions. Unfortunately we don't recommend applying this product to plywood. The 1-Part Epoxy is recommended for concrete and masonry floors only. We currently don't have a product we can recommend for plywood floors, but you may want to reach out to your local Home Depot to see if they have a different floor paint that would work for your project. Can I use this on a ceramic tile floor & if I can would I need a primer?

Hi Lin, Thanks for writing in with your question. You can use the 1-Part Epoxy on unglazed ceramic tile. I recommend cleaning the surface and priming with the Concrete Bonding Primer, (No. 880). Have a great day! Regards, Giovanna

What Primer?

BEHR Premium 1-Gal. #PFC-62 Pacific Fog 1-Part Epoxy Concrete and Garage Floor Paint Specs on this product indicate primer required but no clue as to how to identify it.

Dear Suzvan, Thanks for your interest in our Behr Premium 1-Part Epoxy Concrete & Garage Floor Paint. Our 1-Part Epoxy Floor Paint requires you use our Behr Premium NO. 880 Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer on clean, etched and uncoated concrete floors. Our Concrete Bonding Primer is available at your local Home Depot store. Please refer to the product label for detail preparation and application instructions.
