If you want a custom color does that change the price?

Picked up 4 gal of 4 different colors one semi-gloss 3 eggshell and was charged $35 for semi-gloss and $30.95 for eggshell

Is it still possible to buy the old formula Behr Premium Plus Eggshell No. 2050?

I need to match paint that I currently have, but do not want to re-paint the entire basement. I don't trust the new Zero VOC formula to match the existing finish after reading the reviews.

What is the difference between this and the medium base eggshell? I bought 8 gallons, thinking they were the same (since they're the same color can and in the same place), but half of them are different. They haven't been tinted yet at least.

don't tint them if you don't know the difference your getting older paint

It is thick and rolls on great. Covers as good as anything you can buy. I trimmed then rolled the walls The color of first two galons matched the third was alot lighter so my touch up looked terrible. I told and showed the person working the paint counter and they said "yup that happens sometimes".. I had to buy 2 more gallons to repaint everything and they didn't match each other but this time i painted one wall at a time corner to corner and trimmed as i went. still had 2 walls to go so i bought a sixth gallon and it matched. Looks great but spent $80 extra and 4 hrs repainting twice because the pigment was off.. See the picture. Yup this happens...

I specifically asked the counter clerk for a mid grade, one below best and said I wanted good hiding coverage since I was going over a medium brown. This was the paint offered up. I looked at the label which clearly states "Behr Premium Plus" with "Lifetime Warranty". Sounds like the quality I requested. She also said any complaint needs to be taken to Behr, not HD. I was prepared for two coats and here I am now buying a third coat. This clerk, with the same request went and got the "Behr Premium Plus-Ultra". When I asked about the difference, she said the first type is one up from "Contractor Grade" and it was not a great paint. I wasnt tinting, just using Ultra Pure White -what ever that means in a low grade quality. I use HD best quality rollers, 3/8" nap and I know how to load them properly with paint. When compared to the Premium Plus Ultra, this Premium PLus, Ultra Pure White is very different. In fact the lower grade (this one) is thicker viscosity than the higher grade. Go figure. Shame on Behr and HD for this misleading labeling. Perhaps a poorly trained paint clerk. But I recommend you avoid the claims about this paint. Its disappointing. Third coat here I come. Grrrr.

We thought it would take three or more coats to do the jobs but not with Behr. It goes on thick and has amazing coverage. We had one room with deep red walls and another with an extremely bright, bold mural that covered every wall. In both cases one coat covered them, there was one rainbow that required a bit of touch-up (not certain what kind of paint that color was) but it was minimal. Jobs we anticipated taking a week were done in a weekend.

My brother who is a painter for past 20 years suggestered Behr products when we purchased our new home to cover the red painted walls in our bedroom; to our amazement it covered in one coat and left a beautiful eggshell sandy color! We are sold on this product and will never go back to another brand of paint in the future!
