- Suitable for family rooms, living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, kids’ rooms and hallways
- Eggshell sheen offers a soft velvety appearance
- Excellent hide; 1 gallon covers up to 400 sq. ft. depending on application, color and surface porosity
- Use a high quality 3/8" - 1/2" nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (.015" - .019" spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
- Use BEHR ULTRA paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (two primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas. For heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA as a topcoat to a small section. If bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating.
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C). Darker colors may require additional dry time between coats. Cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time

Loved this paint -- it is pricey but it did a GREAT job!
When we moved in our walls were covered in FLAT blue painted walls,,,blue was not a color that looked right - and flat paint showed each and EVERY mark - we purchased this paint on the reviews from Consumer Reports - It costs a lot more than other paints, but if you don't want to go back and paint again in a few years, we really liked this option.
Despite what they tell you at the paint counter, you will PROBABLY need two coats, especially if covering a darker wall color.
This paint stacks right up with other independent paint store paints - I just wish that the price was a bit more along the lines of the average Home Depot Shopper,,,,we go to HD to NOT have to pay the prices of those 'independent paint stores'!
That being said, we are very happy with the coverage and the richness and depth of the colors - they look like they were professionally painted!

Excellent product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 5 gallon bucket of Behr Ultra in Sounds of Nature. It was a bit bluer in my room than the sample suggested but i think it's due to the way the light is reflected in the room and the outside colors. We had to do 2 coats but that was mostly due to covering up spots we missed - not due to the underlying color showing through. I use Behr for all my paint jobs and overall i am very happy with the product and highly recommend it.

The best paint ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Behr paint for years. With that said I have painted over ten rooms in two different houses. I am not a professional painter. One time I took the advise of my MIL to use Valspar and that was the biggest mistake I ever did. I needed up painting a room with three coats of paint just to cover. Then when I painted over the murals in my daughters bedrooms I used one coat of behr scuff defense and it was covered. No problems. Their walls had nature scenes on them with every color you can think of. To say one coat covered it is amazing in my opinion. I will never use any other paint. I don’t even question its ability.
