This paint, and unfortunately, other Behr paints, have caused me many headaches and frustration along with A LOT of money and time. Fresh out of the can, the paint applies beautifully and consistently, however, within weeks the finish and color gradually mutates. The ceiling primer-paint, which is supposed to be flat, has a slight sheen as well as a horrible tendency to yellow within the first three weeks of application. My ceilings were pre-cleaned, The paint had just been shaken at the store, I do not have pre-existing oil paint on my ceiling, nor do I have stains, nor do I have moisture issues and yet this is still happening after multiple applications. I do not know what is happening with the paint, but the paint clerk said that it was probably an expired can of paint that I've been using. However, Home Depot would do nothing to help me remedy the situation. I will have to pay out of pocket to fix this issue, including sanding off the paint that has been applied?!? I have bought multiple different cans of Behr paint and almost all of them are doing the exact same thing. So, basically, Home Depot is admittedly selling expired paint with no refunds given unless you have a receipt, and I do not have the receipts, so I guess we're the fools for buying it. BUYERS BEWARE!!! Unless you feel like spending a lot of time and money and energy on a painting project, do not trust that Home Depot will sell you unexpired paint!!!

Hi there, thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that that paint dries to a slight sheen and starts to yellow. This is not typical, and I can understand your disappointment. It's hard to say exactly why this is happening. I'd recommend applying another coat of paint from a different can. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Streaky and inconsistent application
I have no purchased and gone through 4 gallons of this paint and regret every buying it. The primer that is supposedly in the paint really does nothing. I have painted ceilings upstairs in my home with much better coverage, and using much less paint, with other brands. I have applied two coats of this paint to my ceilings and still see considerable streaking. The previous color was a yellowed white thus not sure why this paint had such a difficult time covering. Waste of time and money.

We scraped the popcorn off and used this behr ultra for primer and top coat-
Three days later we noticed peeling in several spots .
I will confirm with the painter, but i understood they just used water and scraped the popcorn off.

Hi Jax, thanks for the review. I'm sorry to hear that our Ultra Ceiling Paint is starting to peel in several spots. This is not typical, and I can understand your disappointment. I recommend removing the loose coating, scuff sanding and cleaning the surface before reapplying more of the ceiling paint. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Not Flat!
Horrible Wasted 4 gallons and 4 gallons of sealer.
After 5 days of drying it still had shiny / wet looking spots all over the place.
Removed popcorn and hired a professional to apply knock down, he sprayed the ceilings with a sealer and then Ultra Pure White Ceiling Flat Interior Paint and Primer in One.
A day later it still looked shiny / wet in spots so he came back and applied another coat, 2 days later it looked the same he then came back and applied another coat and 3 days later and 4 gallons of Ultra Pure White Ceiling Flat Interior Paint and Primer in One later it was still shiny / wet looking in spots.
He then suggested using Benjamin Moore ceiling flat white ..well 1 coat and a day later we finally have nice even flat ceilings.
If you are looking for a Flat white ceiling stay away from this.
We have used Behr paints all over the house outside and in and never had a problem before.
Behr is our choice of paint. But NOT for Flat white ceilings.
Was an expensive lesson.
Here are some pics of BEHR Ultra Pure White Ceiling Flat Interior Paint and Primer in One after 3 days of drying.

Hello Paul, thank you for your review and for being such a loyal Behr customer. I’m so sorry our ceiling paint was shiny and wet in some areas. Since multiple coats had been applied already, I recommend recoating with our Ultra Scuff Defense Interior Flat Paint instead to provide a more even finish across the ceiling, which it sounds like you were able to get already. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance. We used this to paint a bunch of ceilings for renovation videos on our YouTube channel. It looks amazing! So clean and bright! Previous owners left stains and discolored spots on the ceilings and after about two coats they were all covered up. The color schemes when we moved in were a little too dark for our tastes so this helped brighten up our rooms immensely! We continue to get more as we continue renovating our house.
