BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Stain-Blocking Paint and Primer* is an interior paint that's too tough to scuff and sets a new standard for flat paint durability. BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE features breakthrough innovation to deliver a rich flat finish that is truly durable enough for high-traffic areas. This low-reflective flat finish is easy to clean, touches up well and hides minor surface imperfections. Don't settle or compromise between the flat look you desire and higher level of durability you require. *A PRIMER COAT MAY BE NEEDED ON SOME SURFACES. SEE BACK LABEL FOR DETAILS.
Ideal for busy high traffic areas, family rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and ceilings
Available in an EXTRA DURABLE FLAT SHEEN which provides a beautiful non-reflective appearance along with excellent touch-ups
Excellent hide; 5 gallons cover up to 2000 sq. ft. depending on application, color and surface porosity
For best application, use a high quality 3/8 in. - 1/2 in. nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (0.015 in. - 0.019 in. spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
Use BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (2 primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas
Lock in stains with BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint as a spot primer, for heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Paint to a small section, if stain bleeds through, spot prime another coat to the stained area and test again before top coating, if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating
Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50°F-90°F (10°C-32°C), darker colors may require additional dry time between coats, cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time
The true benefit is a flat finish appearance with scuff resistance of a gloss, a combination not typical in traditional flat paints
Advanced scuff and mar resistance helps protect wall surfaces in busy households. Do not use on floors.
Bit Of Sugar is a white with a cool undertone. Depending on the light source or time of day, it may appear as a white on the walls.
Exceptional burnish resistance provides an easy-clean finish for long lasting beauty
When I am selecting the perfect WHITE paint for design jobs it can be quite challenging. For both interior and exterior. Bit of Sugar from Behr has been a show stopper every time! It pulls warm a bit but it has just enough cool to settle making it the perfect harmony. With using BM for years I am very impressed with Behr paint. Coverage was great! Not only did I pull this color inside through out this home but, Yes I did... I painted the exterior as well. Client is happy, neighbors are happy, community is happy, and all makes me the designer ohhhh so happy! I highly recommend!

I really like this paint, however I bought it because it said it would take one coat. It does not. I had to do coats on my walls.

worst paint ever
I also had to put 5 coats on to get the paint to be uniformed. It took a 5 gallon bucket just to do my kitchen. The worst paint i have ever used.

Hello BuxAZ, thank you for your review. I’m so sorry the paint wasn’t uniform and needed so many coats. Typically, additional coats should help even out the finish and make it uniform. And it sounds like you were able to do that after recoating. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Poor Coverage & Drips
For years I have been a loyal customer of Behr. No more. This paint dripped easily and coverage was very poor. It is impossible to touch up or to feather it in. Is it DILUTED? Has the FORMULA CHANGED? DO NOT USE this product!

Hi LEES, thank you for your review and for being a Behr customer. I'm sorry to hear that the paint is drippy and not covering well. This is not typical, and I understand your disappointment. Our Dynasty Paint, should have a creamy consistency and will cover in one coat when tinted to a one-coat color, and applied over a previously painted or primed surface.
