The BEMIS NextStep Round Closed Front Toilet Seat in White supports any user regardless of age. The Built-In Potty Seat folds down from within the toilet cover to give toddlers the surface area they need to comfortably do their business, increasing their confidence with each use. Reconfigure the setup for older children and adults by securing the child seat to the toilet lid via magnetic force.
  • Installation requires a 1/2 in. wrench (not included)
  • Fits most standard round 16-1/2 in. toilet bowls
  • Whisper-close hinges allow seat and cover to slowly descend without slamming or pinching fingers

Q:What's the difference between the different models of these round toilet seat- Bemis 583SLOW , Bemis 83SLOW and Bemis 683SLOW

A:  Good Afternoon, Vidya, Thank you for your question! They are all essentially the same toilet seat but are going to have a different brand name depending on the model number. The 583SLOW is Bemis branded and will be carried at Home Depot, the 83SLOW will be branded Mayfair and carried at smaller retail stores and the 683SLOW is Church branded and will be carried at Lowe's.         Potty training seat
        Great product, installed easily and instructions were clear. seat is very sturdy, not just made for the kiddo's, I am 6'4" tall and weigh 230 pounds, seat felt fine and comfortable. I really like the fact that the child portion snaps on and off very easily, and when it is snapped off, looks like a regular seat.

        Great Idea. Ok Design. Poor Support.
        I purchased this seat a couple of years ago, and initially was happy with it. The concept was excellent, the design seemed good, as well. However after 2 years, the magnet fell out of the lid (for holding up the child seat) and was lost, and one of the plastic pins, that the child seat clips onto, broke, making the child seat unusable. My call to Bemis was very disappointing. They "couldn't" sell me a replacement seat hinge (that the broken pin attaches to), and no-one else can sell me one either. My only option is to buy a complete new toilet seat product.

          Best idea ever!
          I have had mine (and bought for my kids) for nine years. I have eight grand children and they all loved it. I have had company come out laughing and saying they want one. The only thing I would change about it is the hinge. Chrome doesn't last long when little boys "miss".

            Great idea, poor design.
            I bought this seat because of my twin 4 year old girls, it works great for them. But for the adult seat, it broke on the left outer ring after one week. The right side broke after two weeks. Design flaw. There are support brackets towards the front and back of the seat cover, but not in the middle where most of a persons weight will rest on causing the seat to bend down at the middle and eventually crack. Great idea, poor design.

              kiddie seat breaks off after about 1 year
              The kiddie seat is just the right size for kids. The other seat we bought had a hole that was way to big for a 2 year old. The kiddie seat's hinge is really made to snap on and off, but now it does not stay on. It's annoying, but it is easily placed back on the stubs that hold it on. I would want a seat that lasts longer.... the second kid will have to deal with it constantly falling off while she is trying learn to use it. I wish the reviews were more from people who had the product longer. The quality doesn't show until the product is older.
