Magnets Corroded
We bought two of them and the magnets in both of the seats have corroded and are compromised. Of course this happened shortly after they were out of warranty. Prior to this issue, they worked really well.

Seat cracked in less than 3 months
Great concept with added feature to convert to child’s potty seat. We were looking forward to using with our grandson when the time came. However, today, the seat just cracked ALL the way through during normal usage. After removing and examining, it appears that proper stability on the toilet rim could be achieved with 4 “feet” instead of only 2. The current design puts too much stress on the seat right about where it crack. See pics uploaded.

Hinge snapped after 2 years
The design of the hinges are very poor. They are made of cheap plastic and a lot of force is placed on them. I owned this seat for 2 years and they don’t sell replacement hinges so now my seat is useless. I don’t understand why Bemis refuses to sell replacement parts.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Separate hinges are not replaceable on enameled wood seats. Once screws are removed from a wood seat, the screw hole can be stripped, causing the hole to be unable to hold new screws in a manner that meets our safety and warranty levels.

weak hinge, poor design
The idea of a built-in toddler seat is great, and my toddler likes it. The slow close feature is also nice. However, the design is poor. The toddler seat doesn't have bumpers on the bottom, so it scratches up the regular adult seat, wearing off the enamel. Then after a year or so, one of the hinges broke. Unfortunately, it is proving difficult to find replacement slow-close hinges, and replacing the whole seat after just 1-2 years makes this model a poor choice.

Broke quickly
We have several of these style seats and have loved them; however, this one only has 2 tabs on the underside of the seat. The seat cracked where toilet seats usually have the other 2 tabs. So it is poorly designed from that perspective. If it had the other 2 tabs it would be the best seat, but appears to be poor build quality.

urine ruins the toilet seat
Great concept for the kids! Have had one in use for a 2 and 4 year old for just over a month and there is now noticable failure of the coating on the big seat part. this is the location where the smaller seat sits, and I'm guessing the failure of the coating is due to urine exposure that wasn't wiped up right away. Seems sad since this is a toilet seat....

I've never had a toilet seat hinge snap
There is a 1 year warranty, so go figure around the two year mark, the hinge for the main toilet seat snaps on the right side. There has been no abuse, just regular lifting the lid for when I pee and putting it down after, though that is mostly just start to put it down and let it slowly go down itself as part of the never slam feature. I've been a home owner for over 2 decades, and never had this happen or heard of it happening.

"Enameled" finish is not durable
Had this toilet seat for about 2 years. The paint on it has started fading and now a bathroom cleaner has started to almost eat the little bit that is left.
Super basic toilet seat, no soft close is a con. Easy to install. Never came loose at any point.
I'll be replacing it with a higher quality plastic seat with soft close so I don't have to replace it every year.
We have a Delta seat like this with soft close and nightlight that is 4 years old and still mint.
Spend more on a nicer seat.

Broken molded right hing
This seat was very nice. But today the molded right hing broke and I don’t know if there is a replacement part for it. I liked this seat because it did not slam down. I can’t use the seat like this. Please help. Purchased from Home Depot. We hav had it a little over a year.
