The LED light tube with built in rechargeable batteries is lightweight. Both ends act as handles when unclipped from the unique hood clamp. And there is an ON/OFF brightness switch on each. This makes the light easy to activate whichever side of the vehicle I am on. It's amazing how clear the LEDs make working under the hood. Gone are the days of the old fashioned trouble lights and long AC cords. So convenient! Recharging is fast. You can see how clear the light makes work. Even when the garage is lighted, this helps even more. I can use the light for other uses. Camping, on summer nights in the yard, you name it. With the long tube and multiple LEDS along its length, I perceive almost no shadows.

I am impressed with the cordless option because finding cords can sometimes be a challenge. The ability to attach the light in so many ways make it useful for many projects. This heavy duty work light is not just for working on your vehicle but can be used anywhere you need more light. I have tried this light under the hood with the provided expanding light support assembly. I also found that I can attach the light to the ceiling of my truck for storage and for extra light. The light can also be used as a work light on the job by attaching it to the ceiling joists in crawl space or attic. I will be using this light often on the job instead of the old fashioned trouble light since this is cordless and provides a lot of light over a large area.

I will go over some specifications and features of this Litestix LED light stick. In the package, I received the work light, adjustable cradle frame, charger, and user manual. The light bar has 2 rows of 18 SMD LEDs. That's a total of 36 LEDs with 2 brightness levels. Low: 650 lumens uses 18 LEDs and High: 1,200 lumens uses all 36 LEDs. The work light is 2.5" wide and 42.25" in length. The battery is 1,800 mah Li-ion and takes around 4.5 hours to charge. You also get up to 4.5 hours of continuous usage. Each handle houses a power button to adjust the brightness or power the unit on/off. The light has multiple hanging options. The handles have magnetic ends that can fold out 90° and stick to metal. There are also hideaway hooks recessed into the handle that you can pull out for hanging. The last option is to use the included adjustable cradle frame. The cradle uses tension hooks to grab the hood or door jams. The light can easily slide in or out of the cradle by pushing or pulling. The cradle is 49" in length but can extend to 79" with an overall height of 5.85" and an overall depth of 3.75". There is a TIP in the manual that says to charge it at least once a month, no matter how often you use it. I used to work in a car detail shop years ago and used a light bar like this. The light and cradle were one piece, and it had to be plugged in all the time. My CO worker and I used to say it would be nice if the light was rechargeable and detachable. When I saw this light, I got excited. The first thing I did was charge it before the first use. I use this light daily now. Having a light like this to detail a car will show you dirt that you could not see in normal light. I love how bright and versatile this light is. I take this to the park where I bring my dog to play at night. If we go to the playground that is fenced in, I'll hang it on the fence with the hooks. If I bring him to run in the baseball field that's not fenced in, I stick the light bar to my car with the magnets to help watch out for coyotes. This light is great for detailing, mechanic work, construction sites, a workbench light, or for anyone to keep around the house for work or power outages.

This is one beefy work light. It comes with a cradle that hooks onto a vehicle hood. The cradle has large padded hooks on the ends and adjusts from 49" to 79" using strong springs. The work light ends rotate and swivel 90 degrees each way. Each end has 3 strong magnets and can be attached to metal in any orientation. Each end also has a small retractable hook for hanging. The work light has two light levels, 650 and 1200 lumens selected by a push button on either end. On low one of the two rows of LEDs lights up. There is a charge light that's red when it's charging and green when finished charging. A full charge takes about 4.5 hours, after which it will run on low for 4.5 hours. On high it lasted two hours. It can be used while charging. The light spread is wide and even. It illuminates an area 4 times wider than the distance between the light and the work surface. When I tried it out on my car, I found that the way the cradle hooks fit it would barely grasp the edges of the hood. So then I thought I would use the magnets only to discover that the hood was aluminum and the magnets didn't hold. On steel, the magnets are strong enough for a single end to support the light. It's made in China and has a one year warranty.
