Good tool, depending on the job
Pleasantly surprised with this easy to assemble, lightweight, cordless product. I have used for two patches, so far. First photo shows a mostly dirt-filled patch and the cultivator made pretty easy work of all but some really tough weeds, still showing. The next patch I'm working is ALL very stubborn weeds. Doesn't look in the photo like I got very far but in reality, it has done quite a bit. I don't think it was really intended for this type of job but it is getting it done. If you are smaller, like me, I found it easier to kind of circle around the patch, always bringing the cultivator towards me, and going over the area multiple times - pushing and pulling over the same patch was very tiring. I will get an extra battery, since I have no other B&D cordless tools and it is a long charging time (8 hours) for relatively short period of use (2 1/2 hours). This cultivator will work for me, and I don't have to worry about running over the cord, mixing fuel for a 2-stroke, etc.!

Great tool but incompatible battery
Purchased this thinking it would be compatible with my other B&D yard tools - wrong! B&D can't seem to get the common battery thing down - now it's useless until I go buy another battery & charger - will have 4 batteries & charger setup on bench for tools that only get used once in a while!

Good Deal
Needed this to break up firm soil. Did the trick for a replant of grass seed.

A very good buy!
The tool is powerful and easy to use. I would not want to till acres with it, but it is great for small jobs such as flower beds and mulch piles.

Nice addition to ease gardening work
I purchased this rototiller to use as an aide in weeding my gardens. Having a full size tiller for bed preparation, I thought this would be helpful for maintenance tilling. I was also looking to get something battery powered with the same battery as my Black and Decker weed whacker. I have since discovered that I can use this tiller for more than I planned. I have used it to mix in fertilizer for spot planting, mixing in grass seed for spot repairs of bare spots on my lawns and for quick weeding around plantings in my vegetable and perennial gardens. The quality is great for the low cost, the battery life is fair, but with the additional batteries from my weed whacker, I have plenty of juice to finish task. My only complaint would be the lack of a quick charger as the charging takes 9 hour. I have since purchased a quick charger which was probably Black and Deckers intent, but it is still a pretty good value even with the extra cost. If you don't have additional batteries (unit only comes with one) you will find finishing task difficult and frustrating due to long recharge time with provided 9 hour charger. Overall, I would recommend this to any amateur gardener based on my experience.

Easy to use.
Easy to use in my garden. Light weight and very portable. I have a small 6'x6' plot of vegetables and it does a great job keeping the dirt turned over between the rows. I also used it to prep the ground before planting.

Cultivator
This cordless garden cultivator is an easy way to break ground for flower beds and gardens. It is lightweight and easy to handle. The 18 volt battery has a long lifespan and allows a lot of work to be done before recharging. I love th complete line of these tools!

Easy to use and not need for gas
This product works weel only problem is with holding a charge. So far i have only gotten 3 hours between charges and the recharge take very long. I have not had a full charge as of yet and I have used this tool about ten times. A longer holding charge battery would be great and a faster recharge is needed

Cuts hoeing weeds time by 90%
The weeds grow inches per day. At 100 degrees outside in the shade, manual labor with a hoe is not an option. Standing there pulling a trigger is.

so far a really cool tool
I just bought mine yesterday and charged up the battery. This morning I cleared out all of my flower beds that were overgrown with weeds and grass. Did a great job in the tough stuff. It lasted the whole time and just ran out when I was getting to the final area. I hope it stays this good.
