Q:Could I hold and cut composite tiles and regular tiles with this work bench

Answer This Question
A:Â The WM125 Workmate Portable Workbench is not recommended for this type of application.

A:Â It would support a tile saw. I don't think the red clamps would hold a tile strong enough for a good cut.

A:Â This is not as sturdy or heavy as the one I bought 50 years ago. I think you would want to have someone help steady the 8 foot length

Good so far. My only complaint, which prevented me from giving five stars, was the instructions were horrible. After spending 45 minutes or so trying to figure where all the parts go I went inside and watched a YouTube video. The instructions were pretty much worthless. After watching the YouTube video it became clear and took me less than 10 minutes to complete the assembly. I highly recommend watching the assembly on YouTube over wasting time with the included instructions

Better than expected for $12. Small project workbench.
This is a small project workbench and for $12 it far exceeds what I expected. If you need to sit, clamp down something and work on it, this is the bench. Its also sized right to use as an outdoor tv tray or side table. If you want it to hold an 8 foot piece of lumber to cut it, this isn’t the workbench for you. I had no trouble assembling it with the instructions, but I did watch a couple videos before it arrived.

Too Flimsy
I purchased a Workmate 425 and this 125 a couple of days apart. This 125 has to be put together, which is a pain in the rear. After assembly, it appeared a little flimsy. This was confirmed when I used it with the much heavier duty 425 for cutting 2 x 6 x 8 boards. It was wobbly with just half the length of the board on it and teetered a few times when moving the board around. I do not recommend this 125.

It has it's uses.
Works but that is about it. Kind of a cheap version of the original Workmate. This one is semi-flimsy. Works for a secondary platform for miter saws, and other equipment that takes up workbench space. The clamping action is good. Assembly is ridiculously difficult and awkward. The assembly instructions could benefit from a complete makeover and re-do. Folds nicely but again, awkward to unfold and set up. Far cry from the original (more expensive-you get what you pay for) Workmate. I really miss the foot platform on the lower front legs. Without it, this bench is highly unstable.

Im a woman who loves to do it myself. Until now it worked very well for what i needed. I made cuts in pvc pipes through the lenght and it hold good. Cutting them across is a breeze. Great for wood too. I took one star because it's not too strong if you need for bigger pieces.

This table is very useful for small projects and wood cutting. I just moved into a house and do not have a full size work bench (yet). This B&D workmate has been very useful for helping me cut 2x4s, 2x6s and sanding them for various small projects around the house. The vice works very well. I would also recommend picking up some spring clamps and bar clamps if you plan on using this table for small woodworking projects. For cutting large pieces of lumber with a hand saw or circular saw, I would recommend a partner hold the workbench for you as it does have a tendency to rock using those tools. So, if you need a good, handy bench for small projects, this is a good investment to make.
