Baldwin SmartKey Security
Prestige's SmartKey Security is designed to protect against common types of break-ins to keep your family safe. SmartKey Security is kick-in resistant, bump proof, pick resistant, drill resistant, and saw resistant.
Re-Key as Easy as 1-2-3
Before you start re-keying, you must have your functioning key, your new key, and the SmartKey Learn tool.
Step 1
Insert the key that currently operates your lock, and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
Step 2
A) Insert the SmartKey tool fully and firmly into the SmartKey hole.
B) Remove the SmartKey tool and the current key.
Step 3
A) Fully insert your new key into the lock and rotate it 180 degrees.
B) Rotate the new key 90 degrees back to the starting position, and remove it. Your lock is now re-keyed to your new key, and your old key will no longer operate the lock.

Asked by Galan January 16, 20213 inches thick? Your not going to be able to find extenders for that particular lock set. I would google over sized lock sets for that size door. Normal Locks will be weaker when they are stretched out. You would probably be better off getting new door standard thickness that way you can have the Baldwin quality.

Asked by Keyeyed October 21, 2020SmartKey Security can be keyed at the consumer level with the SmartKey Learn Tool and by following the SmartKey Re-Key instructions. SmartKey Security re-key technology is compatible with a 5 pin (K1 and K5) and 6 pin (K10) keyways. If your other locks are used with the same type of keys, then yes, you can re-key the SmartKey to match. However, typically, other brands’ keys are not compatible with the SmartKey cylinder. Asked by Femborg July 31, 2016Both Sides are identical. The outside has a key slot for the deadbolt lock. The inside has a lever deadbolt. Both handles can be swapped right or left depending on how your door is set up.
