The bracket, seen on the right in the picture, bolts to the screen frame. Drill a right sized hole and use the screws provided. The bracket on the left end bolts directly to the door. Once you see it, it will be straightforward.

What is the pin to pin length of this unit?
When closed, the pip-to-pin is 11 inches When my door is fully open, it goes to 15 1/4 inches. I measured it on my door this morning, on operation. The old one, 10 years and older was sticky and didn't work well. The replacement just dropped in to the fixtures and works perfectly.
What is cylinder length. I need to replace an old one and it is 9.5" Most cylinders seem to be 10.5" in length.
