App / Software is garbage
First one I bought would not stay connected. Second one is at least staying connected. But its only been a week. 10 hrs. after I disconnected the first one, I got a alert saying my sump was disconnected. 10hrs, think how much your basement would be underwater. Still can not remove the broken one from the app, had to contact customer service, and they sent me a email saying they removed it, It Is still there. Cords are way to short to reach outlet and control box. If you already own their sump pump, you know how stupid their control box and transformer barely plug into a standard outlet. Well now you need another outlet for this. The only alert the app gives you is 1) working property, 2) disconnected. Nowhere worth a 100+ dollars. DOES NOT TELL YOU BATTERY LVL, DOES NOT TELL YOU IF YOUR PUMP IS RUNNING. DOES NOT TELL YOU HOW OFTEN YOUR PUMP IS TURNING ON. Garbage, Garbage, Garbage.

We’re sorry to hear you have had some issues with the Wi-Fi module and appreciate your feedback on our products. The module will give more notifications then what you’ve described. If you are not receiving the correct notifications, something may not be setup correctly with how the module is connected to your backup system. For the cables, if they are too short for what you need we do offer extension cables for the system. I would recommend using a power strip or surge protector if your outlet doesn’t have enough receptacles to plug everything in comfortably. We would be happy to address all these issues with you and further help getting things with our Wi-Fi module working correctly.     so far so good
    Our 17-year-old sump pump went out and we got seepage in the basement during recent storms. We bought the Basement Watchdog Combo system, the Maintenance Free back-up battery (I'm an old lady and don't like messing with batteries in a crawl space!) and the wi-fi module. Our contractor had the old pump removed and the new one installed and tested in less than an hour. I handled the wi-fi app installation on both my husband's Android phone and my Apple phone. I got a bit stuck following instructions in the 12-page Wi-Fi Module Instruction Manual, but then I noticed the one-page WiFi Module QuickStart Guide. Following those instructions, I had it connected and setup on both phones in 10 min. And I can hear the sump pump already at work. What a relief! I'm posting a photo to show what the connected app looks like on my phone.

      We finally had our Backup Sump Pump Installed along with this WiFi Module and it's working great ...
      We finally had our Backup Sump Pump Installed along with this WiFi Module and it's working great so far. The WiFi module was a breeze to connect, setup and complete the registration etc. My best advise would be to put your smartphone in the Airplane Mode, Turn on the WiFi and Follow the instructions or the setup video on their web site and if all works well, should not take more than 2-3 minutes to get it all done.

        For those of you having issues with getting this connected to WiFi, i'd like to make a few sugges...
        For those of you having issues with getting this connected to WiFi, i'd like to make a few suggestions that you should try (and that Glentronics support should know but apparently don't). 1) Ideally you should set this module up from a Windows based laptop or a Chromebook using Chrome to access the internal configuration on the device. (Mac's probably work, but I've only been in IT for 20+ years, so i don't get how they work). It literally took me 3 minutes to configure this from my PC after I stopped trying to use my android Mobile phone... ...but if you still want to try to configure with your phone, do/know the following: 2) Make sure you TURN OFF you Mobile Data antenna/service on your cell...this is not unique to configuring this IoT device. You only want one network path from your cell to this Module and that MUST be WiFi. If this all sounds like gibberish to you, read point #1 again. Heck, turn of Blue Tooth, NFC and GPS if you'd like. 3) I ran into a rendering issue with the Wifi Network selection drop down box after getting my Android phone connected in the Chrome mobile browser. None of the nearby network appeared in the box and the manual configuration was wonky (I think it used some oddball term for the SSID or Security Type - Glentronics, get you act together)...once again, you'll make your life much easier if you just go with a PC to configure. Other than that, this device is great. No charge for the service and a bit more piece of mind that my house built on a former swap won't flood out the finished basement again.

          It is easy to setup. It works but only supports popular email address like gmail or yahoo. My email is att and it did not send at all.

            Permanent loss of connection
            Purchased August 2021, worked perfect up until a week ago when it randomly lost connection and will not hold connection after reboot more than 5 minutes. Based on the features, it isn't worth replacing. I will just use some smart water sensors instead.

              Won't stay connected now.....
              I purchased this roughly 5 months ago, had not had any issues up until 4 days ago....My internet went out and since then it disconnects once per day every day and at any time of day. Unplugging and plugging power back in restores it until the next day...

                Very poor value for money. Outdated app.
                Extremely overpriced and terrible software. It’s like something from the 1980’s. There’s no history, 90% of the options are marketing and you have to wade through a bunch of choices to see status. The wifi reliability is pathetic, 25’ from a router that works for everything else and the thing has at least one wifi connection alarm daily. Overall, it does what it says, but very badly and at an outrageous price.
