Poor quality.
The frame is beautiful, but definitely not black, more like a bronze. Didn't mind that though as o did read the reviews and new this buying it. The shipping was fast, but the product quality is poor as far as the frame. The wooden slats are very thin. My granddaughter and I were sitting on the bed and it literally broke, and I'm not a heavy person and my granddaughter is a baby. So we had to put plywood on the bottom. It looks beautiful though so didn't want to send it back, just had to reinforce the bottom.

Not really black
The pictures are a bit deceiving with the color. Definitely not a black. It's more of a dark brown, expresso color. If they are getting away with it not being black by calling it antique black, they just call it expresso because who really knows what antique black is.

We had to return this item because it was not...
We had to return this item because it was not black as described. It was light black with LOTS of rust colored splotches that made the bed look brown. Also, the rungs on were poorly attached, looked very cheap. We had to buy a bed elsewhere after the return.

Instructions could have been clearer, however I managed to assemble fairly easily. I don't have a mattress yet so I am not sure how well it will hold up. I may need to use different slats. Looks as pictured, but is vintage bronze not black.
